We don't need a million thread on this topic. We like one thread per topic. We merged several others into this thread including one called "Alex Pretti was a deranged lunatic." and one called "New York Times reports that Pretti attacked ICE cars 11 days before his death" and one called "LeBron James: Why hasn't he commented on the Alex Pretti killing?"
High schoolers / children still have Boomer-takes because they just repeat the talking points of their parents and grandparents.
"When you get older and make more money, you become more conservative".
Literally the stupidist take of all time. This only happens if you stop learning ANYTHING past 12th grade. A lot of parents don't read books and only watch TV shows. Even the history channel is nothing but details about war battles instead of what lead up to the war itself. They're not aware you can just learn about a history of American's foreign policy or a history of financial institutions in America. They literally still have the beliefs of children.
So it makes sense that they stick to this talking point that "successful" people are republican legitimately.
2/2
To continue, they earn more money, then get taxed more, then notice how our taxes do NOTHING for us, then they chant "taxation is theft" and vote republican.
Again, demonstrating the critical thinking skills of a child.
Instead of following the money and learning about where our taxes go and WHY we're all so screwed financially, they just sit and cry. They don't take action. They literally call themselves "conservatives". They put a blindfold on and don't want to fix a broken system. They just cry about it. Child-like behavior.
It is important to understand the difference between legal and illegal immigrants. We need legal immigrants. Those coming here illegally make it more difficult for those coming here legally. You seem to want to ignore the difference.
Why won't Republicans help bring immigration reform to the table it we need legal immigrants? I agree that we do need legal immigrants and at one point, prior to all of you MAGAs and the rise of that movement, there were serious bipartisan discussions on the issue. The MAGA movement pretty much silenced those discussions.

Nonsense....The Democrats in Congress refuse to discuss it....
This is one of the weird things about the left, they like illegal immigrants for two reasons;
1) they vote for the left and, this is the really important thing;
2) you can pay them far less than minium wage.
which is hypocrosy at its finest.
I was in LA with a student green card. applied for a job in a beach front restaurant with some other people, bunch of us got accpetd, but first we all had to go into a side room with the owner who then said; do you have a green card? so i got full wages, his slaves presumably didnt.
And this where your ignorance gets in the way of a good debate. It's NOT just the left that support immigrant workers, it's both sides of the isle. One just lies to you about it, because they know you'll run to the voting booth scared about immigrants eating the dogs and cats. Do you actually think all the big businesses that rely on immigrant labor are owned by a bunch of liberal hippies?! If so, ignorance doesn't do you justice. Stupidity might be better.
did i say the right dont like cheap labour? of course they do. but they are more honest about the exploitation.
you are ignorant in assuming what i mean as opposed to what i write.
i didnt mention people other than lefties, i didnt need to. the point was about lefty hypocracy.
a MN cop got manslaughter and served time for an incident very similar to good, where the victim had a far worse record. kid has a warrant. kid tries to escape while being handcuffed. gets to car. puts it in drive cop gets to window. thinks she has her taser. shoots kid instead as he drives off. convicted, sent to prison.
one set of rules.
iCE is not really supposed to be in the law enforcement business -- this is no longer border patrol -- but should be going by the same standard if they do.
and it says something awful that for either of them there may be no investigation and just a rubber stamping of an official version, even if at odds with the tape. even a LEO in a good shoot usually gets desk duty while the DA and IA confirm his or her story. much less a borderline one. this is awful training -- they don't act like cops. this is awful oversight -- there is no conduct standard.
just humor the darned videotape and investigate like they killed someone.
i think she is still in jail? and didnt she think there was a knife in the footwell?
in any case, she never disputed that she shot him and that she didnt mean to. she shouted taser taser taser as she shot him.
as far as i can work out it was counted essentially as gross negligence. a taser is in the opposite holster and has a totally different feel than a gun.
personally, in every case, i blame the perp for putting the leo in that place in the first place. disprove that.

You're pulling up a letter to the editor from an op/ed page to make your point? 🤭
Scroll to the bottom of the letter and you will see what the reality is. I'll do it for you, below. I guess you're trying to do a self-own.
Under Barack Obama, the Senate, with strong bipartisan support, passed a measure to toughen border security while providing a path to citizenship for migrants; it was blocked by House Republicans. Under Joseph Biden, a bipartisan committee of senators produced a reform bill that was then blocked by Republicans at Donald Trump’s bidding as he sought re-election.
The PR battle is going poorly for Team Gestapo. Trumpers declined to respond to this murder with humanity or common sense and immediately resorted to lying about the situation, smearing the victim, and doubling down on tacit endorsements of violence. It is so funny that the administration lets these supremely uncharismatic and miserable people like Miller and Bovino act as their mouthpieces. You've had the two of them and Noem (whose swollen face is incapable of conveying emotion) leading the public response, claiming the victim is a "domestic terrorist" who was on the verge of committing a mass slaughter and refusing to acknowledge that ICE might bear even the slightest bit of culpability.
The mainstream media, cowed as they are by this regime, isn't buying it. The response wasn't nearly as cautious and waffling as it was following the murder of Renee Good. The ample video evidence that was immediately available contradicts the regime's lies at every turn. There isn't a moment where you can maybe, if you're incurious, naive, and extremely trusting of the DHS, see how an agent might have feared for his life. Now, people who were maybe on the fence about whether the Renee Good killing was justified can see the regime deploy the exact same defense strategy here, in a situation where it is even more undeniable that ICE majorly screwed up. They're doubting themselves!
Hiding evidence, refusing to cooperate with state and local officials. Bondi comes out and says, inexplicably, "yeah, we'll remove ICE from Minnesota. If you give us your VOTER ROLLS." It's bad! Even Republicans who are largely on board with The Cleansing don't like seeing totalitarian tactics laid bare. You've got to dress it up at least a little bit! So, of course, although he went right along with the initial response, Trump is now preparing throw someone under the bus. Sends Tom Homan to MN to act as some sort of mediator and oversee the investigation, sidelining Noem and Bovino. Phone call with Walz that doesn't end in a shouting match. Leavitt backtracks on the "domestic terrorist" characterization; Now we want to see all the evidence before making any definitive statements.
They didn't get a the kind of violent response necessary to justify invoking the insurrection act in Minnesota. Instead, they let the mask slip too far and now they're in a bit of trouble. They're gonna have to do their best to walk it back and try somewhere else.

I'm sorry, this is moronic at the immediate level.
he was armed, resisting arrest and his right hand was in the vicinity of the gun / or unsighted. this is indisputable and ample reason fear for your life (or your colleagues) to use deadly force. which bit of a) armed b) resisting arest or c) right hand being near his right wasit / unsighted do you wish to dispute?
BREAKING: Multiple federal sources confirm to @FoxNews that Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino & some, not all Border Patrol agents, will be leaving the state of Minnesota imminently.
The US now faces a simple choice whether or not to accept this political violence. With a boycott of the World Cup looming, this regime is clinging onto power desperately. Trump is possibly the most globally hated leader since Hitler. That takes some doing.

1. "At the immediate level" is not an idiom that exists.
2. While doing nothing but filming, he was attacked, pepper sprayed, beaten and held down by at least five men (you must remain motionless while being gangbeaten and pepper sprayed in the face, otherwise you are "resisting"), and then clearly disarmed by an agent, before being executed. He was shot at over 10 times (including multiple times while he was already lying face down in the street) in an area surrounded by civilians. Please keep defending this. It's a great look for you.
"His right hand was near his waist, tho"! Yeah, tends to happen when one is shot in the waist.

Mao, Pol Pot, Putin, Stalin, Idi Amin, Mugabe, Blair.......

1) not a question so wotevs.
2) 'nothing but filming'? he assaulted the LEO. very clear.
UOY) 'his right hand was near his waist'.....'happens when shot in the waist'??? wot? whatever the reason for his right hand to be near his waist, that is where the gun could be, and therefore it is a potential deadly threat. Interestingly, you would need to shoot first (or be shot) for a person to move his hand towards the wound.
Hey, if those people want someone like this walking around their children then cool, go for it. ICE not there, this "man" is still walking the streets free despite his terrible crime.
