Not only have i never done a 3k race recently, I have never participated in a 3,000 race in my lifetime. We dont have that in oklahoma. We do have the 3200 where I come from. Last I checked, 3000 are only ran in the country of Europe.
If i were to ever do a 3k race, my time would be around 820 to 825, seeing as though I did a 3200 (full 2 mile) college track race in California last month in 8:59.

Coach dahl
Now it's 8:59 for 3200?
malmo,
At what point do you guys ban this liar and cut off his IP address, and whatever else you can do?
Maybe he'll find another way to post anonymously or he'll create a new persona, but this crap has to stop.
Mr. coach Dahl, Matt London is a guy who posts on this forum perennially. He's a character, he has a YouTube channel called John James 21 with an internal signifier for his channel, John_James1302.
I get you, I waste way too much time keeping up with what other people are doing. My name's Isaac, I just think it would be cool if we could have some of the posters from LRC get a meetup to race, make some YouTube content.
Matt always posts kinda crazy stuff on here, like his obsessive & arbitrary distance sprints which he hand times with oddball conversions, or with his threads where he talks about how macho and strong he is lifting weights, or about how he is at his strongest when he goes to get a suntan more often. I'm not sure if Matt is just a troll who is knowingly trying to rile people up in a frenzy, but he is certainly an interesting character.
I am a lot younger than you or Matt, but I'm aiming for some lofty goals in the sprints, then moving up to middle and longer distances to set PRs.
it would be cool, maybe we could all do an all-comers meet sometime
Good afternoon. Thanks for introducing yourself. My name is coach Barrett m dahl. I am the head college coach in san antonio texas. I want to shine a light on some of your comments.
You are correct in stating that the reason that you and others do not understand my posts or videos is because you are much younger and come from a different generation. That's a huge part of it.
Back in my day, we did not have, nor did we rely, on internet race results. During my layer years of schooling, I think there was 1 site called results.com. the purpose of online race results do not exist to be a sneaky sicko who tries to "pry" into someone's athletic ability. Thats not the point of those sites. Those sites exist just in case YOU want to visit them after YOUR race just to kinda see what they clocked you at. That is the point of those sites. Next.....
As a college coach and recruiter, I can confirm with you that cosches do NOT use those websites. Not even for recruiting. What we do is, we actually go to state championships and we analyze runners with our own eyes. Make sure their head and elbows are down, arms not crossing, and if they look like they have potential, then we approach them and give them a "business card" for them to call if they want to take a tour if the campus. This is what we do as coaches. This is the only proper way to recruit.
Online results are not accurate or comprehensive. They also dont show a students grades. Anything online is not meant to be taken seriously unless its actual coaching information coming from a coach. There was an article online saying I stole a painting from the Whitehouse. I dont know if its still up or not. Ive never been to the Whitehouse, but I've been around it. This bews article was up for several years, and it just goes to show alot of crap online is not true. Again, most users of LRC may be way to young and way too low functioning to understand this. They come from dirty homes, dirty backgrounds, dirty nasty houses, and have very dirty, nasty, filthy, parents who are bad role models.
One of the women who lived with me in my mansion had a pretty long criminal record. It was all available online. This was not the woman I had a child with. Instead of digging into that record, I observed how she treated me and how she acted while living in my home. Although I did indeed witness some criminal behavior, it was not the same type of criminal behavior that her convictions were for. I gave her a chance to see for myself.
She no longer lives with me. Every now and then I'll get online and see her recent arrests. I dont do this to "snoop" or "laugh". You know why I do this? I do this because I am a child of GOD. and that young lady is also a child of GOD. I do it to simply see if there is anything else I can do to help her. This is what children of God do. Its what people in my religion do.
Regarding me personally, brother, I do my running from 3am to 6am. I have to do it before my professing job and coaching job. My days on the track, I dont think you wanna step to me. I mean, you can step to me if you want, but you would probably fail. I am very godly gifted on the track amigo. I do ALOT of 800meter repeats in around 1:55, then I'll work my way down 400s in 51, 200s in about 22-23. My track talents are downright savage, brutal, and shocking. They shocked my whole college, coach, and community. I have fast twitch muscle fibers BUSTING out of my neck, bottom, groin, many other areas. I mean I am cut up like a MISSLE.
Again, every now and then I'll tinker and fart around with events on the roads, but my track abilities are unlike anything anyone has ever seen before. I'm running times at 38 years old that d1 college all Americans have never dreamed of.
Cuz, I mean, youre welcome to spectate or whatever. But I really dont think you wanna get on the track with me. It would not be fun for anyone involved. Pro runner Jessica Hull came to our college track and worked out with me, and even she could NOT hang with me very long.
All the other digital stuff about how you and a bunch of kids are obsessed with results.com as a measuring tool, all of those issue personal conflicts with you are AGE RELATED and generational/cultural. You are simply far too young to understand that seasoned runners and real coaches dont take results.com seriously. Neither should you, but unfortunately you have been born and brainwashed into doing so.
They are solid hobbyist times, but he's never been a pro athlete like he claims. Feel free to chime in with PROOF of faster times Barrett Dahl, the430miler.
He did win a road 10k with a 37:11 earlier this year (the half marathon is more competitive at this event). A pretty favorable (flat/fast) course but also looks like poor weather on the day:
Like you say, these are times to be proud enough of (faster than I was running at that age, and I am slower now). Wild to exaggerate or even outright lie about everything else.

He ran 4:47 and 10:38 as a senior in HS according to the Oklahoma HS track and field site which shows T&F results for 2005.
It looks like Barret has lived all over the map and comes from a very dysfunctional family background. Im seeing a 4:29 1600 meters from 2006 on ohstrack.com. how is that possible if he graduated in 2005?

Was he a senior in 2005? Or an underclassman who transferred to an adjacent school district for run the 1600 at state in 2007?

So far his verifiable highschool p.r. of 4:28 1600 isn't necessarily elite. Even for that era. Im seeing race results for him in Maine, Florida, Arizona, Hawaii, and everywhere in between. Must be nice to be able to do that.
Classmates has him in the Moore High graduating class of 2005, unless its a different Barrett Dahl and he didn't do track in 06.

When you do the math on his age in his current road race results (with current photos of him), he would have been only 16 in spring of 2005.
Had to be a transfer in there somewhere in 2006/2007. Worth nothing Western Heights district abuts Moore schools, so nothing unusual aside from it being the last semester of one's senior year.
Without saying too much, I lived in the area and had close friends in both districts from that timeframe.

4 min mi liar and 430 are the same person. Skitzo pos
"430 is a lying clown born in 06" is Dahl, as are several other posters on this thread. Just delete the entire thread already; Dahl bumped this himself after 6 years. Completely worthless thread that has been on the front page for several days now.
