It's over.
CNN has all but dropped coverage of the special election in Georgia for a lengthy segment bashing Trump with their White House correspondent Jim Acosta complaining that the president has not released his tax returns.

Heh, this one is totally millennial (or LRC).
https://twitter.com/DailyCaller/status/877301813992722432A precinct captain for Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff’s congressional campaign complained recently that many of his constituents are hard to reach because they still live at home with their parents.
“Those were the angriest people,†Jessica Zeigler told Slate, referring to the Republican parents of the young Democrats. “When you are targeting their child, or heaven forbid their child might not think the same way as them, it becomes ugly.â€

And why not?? Parnell was down by 10 pts just a few weeks ago, and if Trump's circus had gone on even another day or two, the result might be different.
Yes, NYT agrees. SC result is trouble for Trump.

Over on MSNBC, Rachel Maddow has also basically abandoned coverage of the Handel-Ossoff face-off to break out her tin-foil hat again to push “Vladimir Putin money went to Trump†theories. Similar to what’s on CNN, where Dana Bash is saying that this race should not have been close because Mitt Romney “won this district by double digits.â€

You forget:
Every silver lining has a cloud named Hillary 2020.
The dems lose again. That is all that matters. Goodnight!
Nearing 7%.
Karen Handel (Republican) 53.4% 109,433
Jon Ossoff (Democratic) 46.6% 95,664
She was losing 49.3-50.7 in early voting. But then Trump (DJT) supported her at the last minute, to overcome the distress. And she won by 16% on the day.
Trump MAGA winning BIGLY !!!!! wrote:

Ooops, she just lost over 3000 in margin. Ain't over yet, buddy.
Karen Handel (Republican) 52.4% 114,856
Jon Ossoff (Democratic) 47.6% 104,398
Probably the only real winner in this election.

According to NYT, the Georgia's 6th is one of the most intelligent districts around. But that was back when it was "close" and it looked like Ossoff might even win, instead of getting pummelled at the polls.

If these liberals are so "smart", why do they congregate densely in same districts, rather than spread out to increase their influence? You'd think they were working for the Hillary campaign or something with that kind of mathy blunder.

Well, Trump did meet with the Ukraine president today.
That should be bigger news than this race, but the media smelled the wrong blood.
Even a close loss for Ossoff is a bit of a moral victory for Dems. Conservatives see the Libs as a huge threat to the most absurd things. They are very motivated too. There's just so much fear and mistrust.
Ossoff will not win
He got spanked.

Dems threw multiple kitchen sinks into the race, with $$$ millions from Hollywood limosuine liberals, and still came up 5% short. Maybe they just have a losing brand?
Wow libs probably haven't been this devastated since, well, watching the Comey testimony a couple of weeks ago.
This "anti-intellectual" smear shows something the Democrats just don't get. People don't like snobs.
If you are properly educated, you understand that your college experience gave you proficiency in something that doesn't really translate to politics. Unless you're among the small minority that also acquired good investigative and critical thinking skills, you're no smarter than anyone else about candidates and issues, and quite likely less if you are burdened with complex dogmas and biases.
Educated people are among the easiest to fool with emotional manipulation of the sort employed by public television and radio. Make people feel smart and they will believe almost anything. Nerds tend to lack the people skills to detect subtle deception.
I would tell the Dems to quit the elitism, but it is time for their party to dissolve and make way for a genuine left wing. So I hope they keep it up.

It's not about "smart vs stupid" It's a backlash to what people think our society has become, egalitarian. They feel threatened and on the outside. This is happening in developed countries world wide. It always has.
