    Murayama staggers in at 2:16:57 ... his last 7.2K was 28:49. 6:26 mile pace. Ouch.

    He chose to study it in college and maybe lived in Ethiopia for a while. You know white Americans can learn Amharic in college too and some do. We (as well as Britain, Australia, etc.) have embassies in Ethiopia where everyone who works there appreciates Ethiopian culture and >90% speak Amharic.

    Well the rules say it's up to the race directors to decide if there's a tie. So we'll see.

    8th place Yuki takamiya's previous best time was 2:15:38. I think 9th place may have run a debut? Anyone know where Yuki Kawauchi is, and since he didn't run today, if he stands a chance of making the Japanese Olympic team?

    The WMM wheelchair jackpot will be $50k not $500k in case anyone was wondering about that.

    Anyone have a link to top results?

    We should make the WMM race directors watch the TV broadcast and try and find top 10 results. Things would change radically for next year.

    Is the color commentator Brett Larner? He is doing a good job. The other guy's English is not good enough to be leading an English broadcast.
