Where did the OP hear the explanation that they actually ran on Friday? If they actually ran on Sunday, that might make sense.

Agree - if you can run even a stand alone 17:02 5K, you should be running marathons in the 2:40s w proper training.

Looks like she was running with 2057. He has the same splits.
17:04 opening 5K followed by a 43:05 (26:01) 10K split. Looks easy to cut from the start to the 5K mark on the 2010 course too.
Edited to add that it is about half a mile from start to 5K.

There was an 8 min difference in chip and gun time (would be pretty tough for most runners to do that time starting 8 min back I would think).................

look - its easy to cheat when you buy your way into doing whatever you want because $$ opens doors - incl marathon days/times/results - it can be bought - obviously people get together and "decide" the times posted. $$ changes hands. no one can be in 2 places at onec so look at records, races on same days in different places cant happen. but lets say that races not really run with the others did get run, are they valid/right and should the races count for Guiness. same probably goes for races in CA where $$ buys a result anytime day or nite without having to follow start &stop rules like regular people. its a shame and tough to prove but cheaters exist and when it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck - what is it?
admittedly hard to prove but when noone sees the two alledged cheaters on the course during the reg race time, but anyone whith any sense is going to know cheating by the way "results" get posted. you may not want to face it, but the rich guy is paying for this set up (hey you may even be the rich guy). if a race is run pre/post hours with "flex time" then be upfront (honest and forthright are interesting concepts) and indicate in results AND maybe have the race not qualify for anything other than pleasure. guiness is just behind on all the ways people find to cheat.
you cant seriously believe Larry Macon flew home after a race on Jun 13th way far from Salt Lake City Airport and flew back to Utah for another race on Jun 14th. he didnt leave utah unless maybe the same rental car he drove to both races could "fly". the san antonio race was a.) not run b.) run at a differnt time - but for sure he didnt run with reg group or even close because of being in utah. btw - chip times are computerized and can be altered by anyone with administrator access to program
I've got nothing better to do Labor Day weekend. Looks like I'll be at the turnaround point of this 8x3.28 mile course with a lawn chair and beers and bags to be an independent observer.
just to add fuel to the fire , I looked up some of the results and googled the finishers. Some of them did not exist except in her results. one example is a 34 y.o female who ran a 3:34 solo on a Thursday .....sure. But you don't have any other marathon results ever?

You're right. It would be more correct, but that is not what McGillvary does. He states that he runs the course after the official race has ended and then includes himself in the list of runners that have completed 25+ consecutive Boston Marathons.

This is ABSOLUTELY not true. KENS5 is currently still investigating. If anyone has any information including other instances of alleged faking please contact Joseph Conger at jconger@kens5.com. I received confirmation this morning that the investigation is still open.
If you look at the "I Ran" races on athlinks. It looks like they are timed by hourglass since most of her races end with :00 for seconds (ex. 6:21:00).

Some female hobby jogger ran the first half of the NYC Marathon in over 2 hours and the second half in under 1:10. She complained about being DQ'ed claiming she "was having a good day".
Her results have been removed.
Who do you think convinced them to investigate this?
