Track meets as presented are usually boring. Eugene even tried to spice up the presentation of NCAAs this year.

So the Brojos start a post arguing that Sacramento is a better track town than Eugene, and then we get the mediocre attendance, people leaving stands in droves the first two nights and even the meet announcer calling the fans out.

Now wejo is "arguing" without any evidence (but hey this is LRC) that Oregon fans are OLD. WTF does that have to do with the OP. Do old people somehow make it a worse T&F experience? Do they not count as "real" T&F fans.

Please get back to at least trying to argue why Sac is better.

USC is favored for the 2014 Olympics.

The Sac Sports Authority organized one hell of a weekend on behalf of USA T&F and USA Triathlon as 100,000 tourists spent a shitload of cash in Sacratomatoe.

Stop with the excuses, everyone could see backstretch stands were empty and homestretch stands were half full.

We understand that holding a track meet in a football stadium has its issues, but there weren't that many fans in the stands.

Actually there were 10million tourists and 10x s-load of cash spent - why not go big when you're making it up?

The Sacramento-San Francisco-San Jose TV market has nearly 9 million people. Bigger than Dallas, smaller the Chicago. I'm happy we'll be back in Sacramento for the 2017 USA T&F Champs.

And none of you dickwads ever go to any of these meets because your too busy counting empty seats on TV. Dumba$$es!!!!

If it makes sense for Bay Area people to fly into Sacto, then it makes sense for track fans to fly into Portland. The drive from Portland PDX to Eugene is probably quicker than the drive from Sacto airport to the Bay Area. That pointed out, all the arguments about Eugene's airport being too small just don't make sense. If you don't like the smaller Eugene airport, just fly into PDX and either bring the train, a bus, or rental car down to Eugene.

Sac and SFO airports suck ask any frequent traveler.

Flying in last Thursday , 3 flights to Sac were cancelled from SFO. Drive into Sac , pic the wrong hours , one of the worst traffic corridors in the US. Sac is not an easy city to get into.

I applaud your post. At least you're going for the blatant attack the messenger instead of trying to defend the made up attendance numbers.

Btw, have been to many championships. Not possible this year with family member in the hospital. Appreciate the classiness displayed by the name calling.
