I just felt that in a time of track and field "whistle blowing" as of late, it was time for me to speak up about what others have ignored or chosen not to see. It is frustrating to see one person taking all of collective blunt force trauma of rumors, lies, and gossip, for doing the same thing others are doing.

But I don't really care about Rupp like I care about Jenny Simpson or Ryan Hall or Bernard Lagat. I don't think Rupp is cheating...he just doesn't move me. He doesn't pass the litmus test for me: if he had the talent of a hobby jogger would he still run? I think he would not. If he disappeared from track...I wouldn't really care.

I simply asked for a link, or verifiable source that corroborated your claim that Jerry's group WAS on thyroid meds. All you have is gossip and an unidentified athlete's story to support your claims.
Assuming your story is true, it does not exactly cast any athlete on thyroid meds in a positive light. Not much of a defense for Galen, so not sure why you shared it.

Sharing it because this thyroid issue has gotten a lot of negativity and skepticism on these boards, yet no one speaks about the multitude of other pro athletes using it. Just pointing out that the others- Olympic bronze medalist Flanagan, sub-27 guy Solinsky, sub-13 man Tegenkamp, are all using this stuff, too. My point as a defense is that this board/community is quick to judge the NOP and, specifically, Galen, without a second thought given to anyone else. Free pass for the well-liked and a guilty verdict for the unanimously, without reasons or merit, condemned.
jack frost seems to be able to write a generally cogent and grammatically correct sentence. Therefore, I highly doubt that he is a duck or a graduate of the eugene clown college. However, jack frost protests too much. He probably is part of the nike pr machine. The fact is that rupp is a cheater. What is the point of cheating at sports? For rupp, it is obvious that he cheats to bolster a fragile ego. Also, what choice in life did rupp have besides cheating? He has no education, is pretty unintelligent, looks flat out goofy and has zero personality. He would be very lucky to land a dishwashing job at Burger King. Cheating at track was his ticket out of minimum wage hell.
This is ludicrous. Galen carried a 4.0 at Oregon in the business school. He is a very smart individual. He is also extremely type-A, putting the same effort towards coursework as his running.
"Fragile ego"? More like no ego. Galen is much like Ashton Eaton in this respect. You would not know of their athletic achievements just by talking to them, because they are the least cocky/boastful/prideful athletes I know.

Man I came on here pretty anti-Rupp but y'all are swinging me the other way. Sure message boards and armchair coaches/players tear up players in every sports, but they have the comfort of knowing there are millions of other fans who aren't hypercritical dbags, whereas Letsrun and other message boards pretty much constitutes the entire fan base, so it must suck for Galen knowing that he takes American distance running to Unprecedented heights and gets nothing but crap for it. I'll never look up to him the way I do/did the more personable, funny, or badass runners like the Big Mazungo, Chris Derrick, Solinsky, Jäger, and Bumbalough (for example when Bumbi out kicked Dupp in a prelim to show he wasn't intimidated and Rupp ignored his hand, and the boards ripped Bumbi), but Rupp doesn't deserve this level of vitriol unless there is legitimate proof that he cheats. He can't help it that he's a normal guy instead of a reality tv level personality a la Nick Symmonds.
