"...ganz, ganz, ganz...unglaublich!"
then
"Zwei verdammte sekunde!"
KB's final k was riveting. The German commentary boosted it to 11.

This is one of my favorite non-english calls...
Pekka Vasala VOITTAA!
I know this is just for track and field but also time to pay homage to maybe the most insanely good piece of sporting commentary ever heard. From the 1998 FIFA World Cup...
Pretty sure he eventually passed out...
Did enjoy Steve Cram's call of the Olympic 1500m final on the BBC:
1st 150m, Jakob takes the lead: "I think this for Josh Kerr is an issue, in the sense that this is going to hurt, and it's going to hurt from a long way out..."
Through 800m: "Cheruiyot, sensing that Ingebrigtsen is making this harder! He's kicked off a 1:51!"
200m to go: "Ingebrigtsen looks over his shoulder! He is there! He's right there!"
120m to go: "Hocker's looking for space on the inside! Because Ingebrigtsen wants to make Kerr run wide!"
Immediate aftermath: "Kerr, in trying to go with Ingebrigtsen, and Ingebrigtsen trying to run away from Kerr, the two of them, I think, destroyed each other, and by destroying each other, Hocker steps up....wow"
