So republicans want to be told that they're not allowed to get Skittles and Mountain Dew with their welfare credits? Why don't they just take some personal responsibility and just not buy them? I honestly don't get why rightwingers get so excited about someone else making decisions for them.
I don't receive food stamps. I am happy I will no longer have to pay for YOUR junk food, though, yes.
Got no issue on US spending $1 trillion of our tax dollars on weapons and spying on us though?
Increased longevity due to being healthier is unlikely to cost more in healthcare. Think about it for a sec.
There are actual studies on the topic and the answer is that in unfortunately does.
But i agree with you, it’s much more fun to be healthy
Which brings me to the next topic. Why is it even legal to sell a large soda in fast food chains. One large soda has 3 or 4 times the daily recommended daily sugar intake. At the very least, it should have a giant warning on the glass, together with pictures and only available with ID proof. At best it should be illegal. Also, one Snicker bar has twice the daily recommended daily sugar intake. That should also have a huge red warning label.
All foods with more than the daily recommended sugar content in one serving should maybe be put in a separate gated area at the grocery store or simply be illegal.
