Does anybody have the Live Stream for today's meet available on WA's YouTube page? Usually, it is there as soon as I switch my VPN to Australia but all I see is the replay of yesterday and the press conferences. I don't even see a feed for the discus right now let alone the running.
It won't be a conundrum as only the top 2 in our trials are automatically picked
the 3rd place is usually up to AK discretion
in the event Wanyonyi wins the DL 800, AK might pick very well pick Chepkwony because in Kenya its not an automatic 4th placer advancement like in the USA or elsewhere
heck they may pick Kinyamal LOL
That’s true, they’ve left their options open. I saw some roster where they had Kipngetich listed as alternate, but now looking back it seems they told the potential DL wild card-eligible guys to stay ready. Makes me wonder if that’s why we’ve seen one combined race from Brian Komen and Chepkwony.
They actually suggested Kipngetich not Chepkwony. AK is actually kinda operating sans politics with the Trials it seems…or they’re punishing Rosa.

From what I've seen I'm fairly sure its Kipngetich on the team now. Chepkwony went and won a local 800 then did an XC 2k recently (8th place). I think Chepkwony's potential is higher this year but maybe Kipngetich is more reliable with his tactics but I still might've picked Chepkwony bc I think he'd have a slim chance at making the final while I don't really see that with Kipngetich.
Other thing that might be happening but less confirmed is Ishmael Kipkurui running 5000 instead of Nicholas Kipkorir and Stanley Waithaka running 10000m. I seriously don't know why they didn't put Amon Kemboi on the 5000 team to replace Kipkorir (who went and won a half marathon in Kenya recently). I think Kipkurui has more potential at 10000 but who am I to say, I guess we'll have to wait to see if that's true and what happens in Tokyo

That second one would be crazy…I saw Kipkorir saying his half was perfect prep for Tokyo so it’d be a surprise to him. Kipkurui should definitely stay in the 10,000 with Kipkorir OR Kemboi at 5,000.
Entries are out and Jacob Krop has replaced Kipkorir. He was announced for the Transylvania 10K so we’ll see. Mburu is an alternate for the 10,000, but it looks like the 3 from Eugene.
Ok yeah must have misinterpreted that, wasn't expecting Krop to be put on the team - should have been Amon Kemboi imo. I guess Waithaka is reserve but Kenya rarely enters reserves, maybe he was heading back to Japan anyway
