Letsrun.com and Rojo seem to be obsessed with this issue which is interesting for a community so tiny. It seems to be almost at the level of pathological. I think Gilbert Arenas made the best observation of so-called straight people obsessed with the LGBT community. He talked about gay people in the NBA and the most vocal and angry players Gilbert and the group surmised may be hiding their own downlow secret. I'll have to find that discussion. Funny thing, Letsrun really glorify a certain pres, but now they seem silent about his latest scandal!
This sort of reply begs the question "How many males need to be in women's sports in order for it to be a major issue?"
Let me ask you personally. Would you consider it a major concern if all women's sports became the exclusive domain of trans-women? How about 50%? If 50% of the women in women's sports were males, would that bother you? How about 25%? Where is the threshold for you where you would say "ok this is not cool".
Would you say women's sports is ok with a few males in it as long as they don't cause too much trouble?

Oh give over. The homophobia that causes some men and boys to feel deeply uneasy about - and yet be overly preoccupied with - same-sex attraction and sexual acts between males has nothing to do with the topic at hand here.
The topic of this thread is males in female sports and spaces. Not blokes who get bent out of shape over gay men in the NBA coz they're "hiding their own downlow secret." Nor creeps like Trump and Epstein and their patterns of abusing and exploiting girls and women.
It’s irrelevant whether Sadie Schreiner and all the other males invading female sports and spaces in recent years happen to be same-sex attracted, opposite-sex attracted or bisexual. They’re all males. Thus none of them belong in sports and spaces, or have a right to services, established and designed for the female half of the human population in order to meet our needs, serve our interests, and provide us with fair play, equal opportunity, safety, security, privacy, dignity, comfort, convenience, wellbeing and peace of mind.
Also, for the record: plenty of people who oppose males invading female sports and spaces and using female services are L and B women, G men, and heterosexual men and women who have always supported and advocated for gay, lesbian and bisexual rights and believe that people who identify as T should have the same rights and legal protections as everyone else consistent with their sex.
Some of the people who oppose males invading female sports and spaces, and using female services, identify as T themselves.
So enough with the whataboutery. If you and the other scolds who've popped up on this thread to try to derail the discussion or bring it to a crashing halt by casting aspersions on those of us who are sharing our two cents with one another here don't want to contribute to the discussion about blokes like Sadie Schreiner in women's sports, you don't have to!.
But FFS, stop trying to get the rest of us to shut up about what we're interested in and concerned about by using hackneyed ploys like suggesting we're all homophobes hiding a secret yen for some same-sex shagging, trying to change the subject, or telling us that there are more important issues we should be talking about instead.
Lucy was an early australopithecine and was dated to about 3.2 million years ago. One of our earliest known human ancestors (apologies to creationists). Nobody can know if Lucy considered themselves to be non-binary or trans, but from the bone structure it was determined that Lucy was a female. When your soul has departed, along with your tats, personal feelings and facial jewelry, your physical remains will speak to what you truly were.

Even if the USATF policy has changed, Schreiner might have not known that and those she was eligible. I don't think she intentionally submitted her entry in order to be disqualified, as another poster suggested above.
Turns out that Schreiner definitely knew in mid-March that USATF changed its policy and he was no longer eligible to compete in any women's events in the US.
What's more, Schreiner publicly said in mid-March that he knew that if he were able to sign up for any women's races in the US going forward, it was inevitable that meet officials would automatically remove his name from the entry list and not allow him to compete.
On March 15 Schreiner posted a video on Instagram in which he put his preening, OTT narcissism and his ridiculously self-pitying persecution complex on display in all their gobsmacking glory for the whole world to witness and marvel at.
This is a transcript of the bollocks Schreiner shared with the world on the ides of March:
"Today I am in Maine for a competition, and I very likely just ran what will be my last meet in the United States.
“USA Track & Field has been following the IOC 2015 guidelines on transgender participation, which is the same thing the NCAA formerly based their participation [policy] on before they blanket banned trans athletes.”
Under the USATF's old policy, males like Schreiner could compete in women’s track & field if they “declared that their gender identity is female” - at least for the time being and for the purpose of competing in sports - and they could also show that their serum T levels had been below 10 nmol/L for 12 months.
10 nmol/L is within the normal reference range for T in the blood serum of healthy adult males, which is 7.7-29.4 nmol/L. 10 nmol/L is nowhere near the normal range of T for adult females, which is 02-1.68 nmol/L.
Back to Schreiner's March 15 PSA:
“Two weeks ago, I competed in [women’s races at] a USA Track & Field under those 2015 IOC guidelines, and I applied two weeks ago to compete at this meet in Maine under the same exact policy.
“However, at one A.M. the day before the meet, just as Boston University did to me [previously in February], they tried to threaten me by saying they now [have] adopted World Athletics’ [current] transgender policy.
“This came despite the fact that they still had their IOC guidelines up in their policy and their was no information anywhere that they had made this change.
“Unsurprisingly, USATF quietly updated their policy without any statement to follow World Athletics, putting in place a blanket ban the day of my competition.
“USA Track and Field purely did this just to ban me from competing.
“Now with the NCAA banning me, with USA Track & Field banning me, with World Athletics banning me, and with colleges too scared to allow me to participate [in women’s compete ] due to Trump’s executive order, there is nowhere in the country that I am able to compete [in women’s running races].
“This all happening of course the same weekend as NCAA Nationals, which I had qualified for and registered for but they silently took my name off the lists without any due investigation or any due process. Because if they see my name on a list, meets will ban me.
“So that’s it. The NCAA has silently banned trans athletes due to my participation.
"The NCAA has banned trans athletes due to my participation.
"And World Athletics banned [male] trans athletes [from women’s competition] back in 2023 despite the Olympic Committee continually finding that [male] trans athletes have a disadvantage in athletics [compared to female athletes]. And all this is without me ever being in the conversation.
“So I will find a way to keep competing [in women’s track], but I doubt it will be in the United States.”
The brass neck of this bloke! I suspect that after listening to this self-pitying yet arrogant spiel and reading the OTT complaint Schreiner has now filed against Princeton and others in court, even the most diehard supporters of the male invasion of female sports in the name of "trans rights" and "inclusion" won't feel sorry for Shreiner and they'll have a hard time defending his attitude and behavior.
When it comes to dick moves, Schreiner's stunts and his whole schtick really take the cake.

Except sometimes it's not like that. Imagine feeling like the opposite gender since you were a little kid. Wanting to wear their clothes. Their haircuts. Play the way they do. All of it. It does happen, occasionally. We don't know why, maybe genes, maybe hormones in the womb.
As for sports, you just compromise. And you can do it somewhat on a case by case basis. It's a rare condition. You shouldn't expect the whole world to change, and we can't deny physical differences, but to accommodate is good. We spend a ton of money accommodating wheelchairs, even though it's pretty rare. It's the right thing to do, and we all benefit anyway.
Dumb logic. Are women in Africa not women because they dont dress like Americans or play like Americans or have haircuts like Americans? What if this person had been in a plane crash as a baby and raised by monkeys? He would speak and act like a monkey. These silly arguments are so tiresome. Were American women from 100 years ago not women because they didn't dress or act like modern day women? What you think males someone female is merely a societal norm. Millions of women in the US don't wear makeup. They wear athletic wear. They are women. A male doesn't know what it is like to be female gender because he is male and he hasn't been in a female body with a female brain.
I hope she wins the lawsuit. Any woman should be able to compete.
She's not a woman. She/he/they are a male that have a clear advantage over females in running. What part of that basic biology concept don't you understand? Should have joined the men's race where he belongs, or leave. Enough of this total bullsh&t

What do you see as the boundaries for this?
The threshold is when trans women become over- represented in women's competitions.
So when we're looking at over 0.5% that's when it's a "problem" that needs addressing .
Do the math and you'll see we are way below that currently.

You want to know why? Because they have hurt my livelihood. I haven't talked about this mucjh on here. But ever since I published the following column with Olympian Mara Yamauchi, I was dropped as an Ivy League broadcaster.
I devoted 10 years of my life to Ivy League track and I wasn't even allowed to go back to the final indoor Ivy League championships at Cornell to broadcast this year, even though the coaching staff wanted me to do it. Last year, even though my alma mater told me I was hired the Ivy League pulled the plug. And then they gaslit me and acted like there was no blacklist with me at the top of the list.
Over the years, I've lost out on 5 figures of income. But I never did it for money. To be treated like a pariah with no explanation was very hard for me to take. They keep just acitng like it's a coincidence they arne't hiring me.
So no, I'm not backing down. The trans lobby are the ones pathological. I remember years ago someone on this forum was going to contact the Ivy League and harass them until they dropped me and guess what - they did.
The funny thing is I've been told by a lawyer that it's possible I could sue for violating NJ state law - NJ Rev Stat § 10:5-12 that applies to “unlawful employment practices” and “unlawful discrimination.”
A lawyer believes that “sincere and meaningful moral or ethical beliefs” may qualify as a “creed” under this statute.
So this lawsuit probably has some merit as well under NJ law but it also is counteracted by Trump's EO.
