It isn't letting me type properly but that 0.7% figure is very impressive.
When I was in school I was kind of told if we did drugs it was OK and we'd be looked after and get help, and I really don't think this was the right approach as quite a large number of the people I went to school with actually use drugs now.
Singapore’s opium addiction rate was over 10% during the Japanese occupation and their overall drug addiction rate is now 0.7%. Tolerance has had little success in Portugal. Intolerance has had far better success in Japan, Singapore, etc. (they had far higher addiction rates a couple generations ago).
Yeah. Drug use is still high in Portugal but violent crime associated with drug consumption, and overdose deaths, have plummeted.
Portugal’s policy has started to crack the past couple years. They had some success with heroin, but fentanyl is passing through their safeguards [mainly because what they have considered “safe” drugs (ie. Non-heroin) are now laced with fentanyl]. The percentage of Drug users rose 64% between 2001 and 2022 in your supposedly successful drug model and overdoses have kicked up dramatically since 2019 and there wastewater prevalence of cocaine and ketamine (particularly on weekends) is the highest in Europe. Where are you getting these statistics? Drug use in Portugal from 7.8% to 12.8% since 2001 but consumption rates for most drug types are far below the European average. Portugal now ranks near the bottom for cocaine and cannabis use in the EU. Regardless, your argument of prohibition working is simply wrong. Do you seriously think criminalising drugs will stop addicts? You are beyond stupid.
Saw a podcast of him and there is definitely something odd. Seems very smart and motivated but what is the point of being obsessively sub-elite? High energy, persuasive, passionate, all the hallmarks of a narcissist. Endurance sports seem to attract this type like moths to a flame. Driven, but for what? Sometimes it’s better to be a hobby jogger and care for those around you.
It's the luxury of playing in third tier participation sports. NO other sports has this many nobodies spend insane amount of time training. Compared to people to trying to barely BQ, this guy is a super elite. So he get a huge ego boost. In reality, he is barely playing single A baseball.

Just noticed . in the news release, the suspect disputed charges, so maybe there is a CBD defense?? still they lay on NARCOTICS label, SMUGGLING label, 12 BIG PILLS, on an athlete, where the substance does what???
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of smuggling approximately 12 pills containing marijuana by sending them from a U.S. airport to Osaka's Kansai Airport using an international courier service on Feb. 19. The Osaka branch of the Customs Service discovered the tablets in arriving cargo and suspected them to be narcotics. Customs contacted the Narcotics Control Division, which then began its investigation of the case. According to the Narcotics Control Division, the suspect denies the charges.
The boy ain’t bright at all. Japan will get a conviction or an admission of guilt one way or the other. Fox will find himself effectively banned from many countries as a result. All over some THC edibles.
Just return home to Australia, Matt. Get some therapy to deal with this deep seated anger that manifests as stupid behavior, and then get a real job outside of the public’s view.
I'm not even sure they were THC edibles. May have been CBD edibles. But regardless, since S'Cari Richardson was banned for marijuana, Matt Fox should be banned by WADA.
I ran Tokyo and saw CBD products for sale in the malls. I don’t think they are banned.
