CONGRATS USC
Arkansas 59 second leg
WTF THIS IS THE MOST SPAGHETTI 4x4 EVER
Not sure what Arkansas had in their cannon, without whatever happened there, but USC placed 4th, picking up 5 more points.
Arkansas could have tied them with a second place finish, or won outright with the 4x4 dub.
I don't think USC has any chance of getting DQed, I would put it on Arkansas running up on A&M, or A&M there's probably a better angle.
Who is officiating this? Can they not count laps? I'm available for hire if they need someone competent to direct athletes.
Wild all around, what a terrible way to finish, even though USC wins with none of the shenanigans that happened.
NCAA indoor championships are becoming a joke. Seems like it's decided by a dirty move in the 4x4 every other year.
so what exactly happened to their first leg runner, and did they appear to be in it? Granted, they would have had to have won their heat by a full second, just to grab 2nd place overall and the tie for the meet. Win their heat by 1.5 seconds, and they win the 4x4 and the meet.

What did you think was dirty?
Could be a smart play on Arkansas's part to just jog it in after the contact. They can protest the bump, then get a chance at a solo rerun...maybe they were trying to save their legs after they realized they were out of it.
Very lame
Arkansas was inside. A&M had to make sure they were in front of Arkansas before they moved in. Instead he just moved over with no regard for anyone else in the race.
They should let Arkansas rerun the 4x4 alone.
Will rojo get his wish for them to re-run a race?
They had the baton knocked out of their hand by a combination of Texas A&M and USC. Mostly Texas A&M's fault. They jogged it in.

I'm sure the video will be out on yt very soon but basically first leg for Arkansas was 3rd after the cut-in and either A&M cut in without enough room or Arkansas ran into them and that left Arkansas in the infield. USC was in 4th and I don't think there was any contact at all.
Sh*tty way to end the meet.

The first leg got pushed in, cut off and forced onto the inside the track at the 200m mark. Hence the 59. Had to go back onto the track, pick up his baton and finish the leg.
Pretty devastating. Considering there was a title on the line.

Definitely a foul by Auhmad Robinson who I’m a fan of.
would protocal be for Arkansas to run solo if the protest goes through?
This happened at our HS state qualifier, and it was decided that if one team gets a re-run, EVERYBODY in the heat was to get to re-run it.
because obviously, times are greatly affected by competition.
but arkansas would be the only team out there with fresh legs.
What a clusterf*ck in the 4x400!!!
Texas A&M should be DQ.
Officials should be DQ for not having the anchor legs on the track. Good lord, what a failure
