Why is open discrimination based on race, gender, and sexuality allowed on Letsrun?
People are allowed to make bigoted comments towards straight white and straight Asian males under the guise of supporting affirmative action. You should clean this up as well.
Outkicked Mo Ahmed and Woody Kincaid in a tactical sub-27 race. This must make him a favorite for the Olympic team, given that he just beat every contender in the US besides Fisher, who got him by .7s.
Also big shoutout to Habtom Samuel also going under the old collegiate record in 26:53. The NCAA is crazy deep right now. You can argue about the shoes as much as you want, but Nico just outkicked an Olympic Silver medalist in a sub-27 race 1 week after 8k of hard racing. He is a historically great NCAA athlete, and Samuel was 1s behind him.
Fisher is probably still a little better than him and I'm not sure how he'll fare against Kincaid in a tactical race, but otherwise his only competition for the Olympic team is Klecker who he dispatched pretty easily today. It's looking good for him this summer if he can keep this fitness up.

I don’t think the 10k will be really slow - not like going for standard quick but nowadays going out at 28 flat is very slow for these guys. I can see Connor mantz taking it out in 66/67’s. I don’t think Nico wins if comes down to last 200 but I can see them hitting 8k in 22.20 and start hammering from there - if Nico and others go down to 62/63 and then a 157 800 - likes of woody or anyone else who has faster 1500 - likely won’t be there.

Extremely doubtful that Nico has doped or ever been involved in anything shady.
Interesting that Nico is well ahead of Galen Rupp with precocious times at age 21 (22 in July)....Galen hit his peak from 2012 -2014 (age 26-28), with 3:50/12:58/26:44, all before Supershoes. They both share 800 PB of 1:49.
I preferred Galen's style and technique. There's something slightly bizarre about Nico's ultra upright form... Can't verbalize it....but it works for him. Colin Sahlman similar.
Will Nico win Olympic medals etc like Galen? Doubtful, imho, but I think he can race well and reach top 8 in many. Will he transition to the marathon and be successful, like Mantz? Not sure, but have reservations about that technique of his, which does not seem economical... for marathons

I don’t think that was a tactical race, he ran smart drafted well, respect for him coming back from that double
