With your last sentence I agree: this is not just about fairness, it is also about reality. Since I do not believe that biological males are females, I will not refer to them with female pronouns. Since I do not believe that any one person is plural, I will not refer to him or her with "their," a plural pronoun. I do not wish to lie about my beliefs by using pronouns that are false with respect to what I, and I think a high majority of people, believe. I do not want to hurt someone struggling with gender dysphoria by suggesting that I believe in his or her gender self-identification. I doubt that you want to hurt them either, but I think your arguments harm the people you purport to help. I'm in Manhattan: I see gender dysphoric people more than infrequently, and what they've done and have had done to themselves is horrific.

Why stop with respecting someone' self identified gender? How about criminal guilt? Suppose an inmate convicted of a heinous crime has come to believe in his own innocence. Why should I disrespect that any more than a male identifying as a female or a female identifying as a male? Why should he not be freed from legal confinement? Is the inmate's self-identification any less credible?

Umm, it is the gender dysphoric who do not accept themselves as they are. They, instead, believe they require horrific, often irreversible, surgeries, and a poisonous barrage of opposite biological-sex hormones, and an onslaught of poisonous suppressors of their biological-sex hormones so that they can become who they truly think they are, having, somehow, been born into the wrong body, whereas I, and I think a high majority of people, believe - and this is an immensely more scientifically parsimonious explanation - the gender dysphoric are thinking very badly.

A convicted felon has done something that negatively affects other people's lives. So it goes back to the question of "what have trans people have done that negatively affects your life?" Or outside of competitive sports, what have they done to negatively affect other people's lives?

You say people with gender dysphoria have done "horrific" things to themselves. What are those things? Why do you think those things are horrific? What do you think of people who are happier after their gender identity is affirmed? Do you dismiss their stories? Do you also dismiss macro data about the gender affirming care and the trans people's mental health?

Aside from gender affirming care, what other major medical decisions do you think you should make for other people? In what ways are you more qualified than medical professionals in making those decisions? In what other areas do you distrust major medical organizations?

Well, clearly it was stated 'poisonous' chemicals, but it's also clearly inferred that self mutilating surgery is pretty horrific.

I add that the gender dysphoric given these drugs excrete them into the environment where they can wreak havoc: the presence of synthetic hormones and hormone suppressors in the environment may be the cause of all sorts of sexual problems, including gender dysphoria.

Born James Tubbs, the 27-year-old was previously sentenced to two years in juvenile hall in January 2022 after being convicted of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in the bathroom of a Denny's restaurant when Tubbs was still a minor himself.

Prior to being found guilty in that child molestation case in Los Angeles, Tubbs had been convicted of carrying out a similar sex attack on a four-year-old girl in the bathroom of a public library in Bakersfield. Tubbs is also suspected of committing another sex attack on different four-year-old girl in the bathroom at a children’s toy store, also in California.

Now Tubbs has accepted a plea deal resulting in a conviction for manslaughter and 15 years in prison for beating to death Michael Clark with a rock in April 2019.Tubbs was originally charged with first-degree murder, threatening a witness, robbery and assault in the Clarke case.

Clarke, from College Place, WA, was camping in Kern County, CA when he was robbed and beaten to death by Tubbs. Prosecutors said Clarke and Tubbs were friends who joined a “survivalist transient group” together. Clarke's father claimed his son had lived with Tubbs for a time.

In accordance with California law, Tubbs has been referred to as “female,” “treated as woman” and called she/her throughout the legal proceedings related to his killing of Clarke and the sex crimes against the little girl he attacked in the Denny’s restroom.

Since you asked, here's another trans-identified male from California who's been in the news of late for being a vicious, cold-blooded killer.

The difference is that whereas Hannah Tubbs murdered a male friend by beating him to death with a rock at a campsite in Kern County, Dana Rivers murdered a lesbian couple he knew by stabbing and shooting them as they slept in their bed in Oakland - then Rivers murdered their adopted teenage son, a refugee from Africa, and set the family's house on fire.

This is explicitly allowed in state laws that ban gender affirming care for minors. They try to ban intersex women from women's sports by ignoring their existence. But then they make sure that doctors will be allowed to operate on them without their consent. That's how hypocritical they are.

Oh c'mon, mate. I've never said or suggested that adopting a trans identity is a criminal offense or should be one. I actually support policies and laws thar protect people from being unfairly discriminated against on gender presentation and gender identity grounds. But I don't think people who adopt an opposite-sex gender identity actually change their sex and must be treated as though they are the opposite-sex.
