Making finals on time and to win a gold medal in lane 8 at 100 M didn't seem possible until today. I'm glad she's better and showing her talent. Very big congratulations to you SCR.
She may have 'only' made the finals on time, but her semi time was the 3rd fastest of all the semi's, and that was with a poor start. Anyone who didn't see her as a real threat in the finals wasn't looking at the whole picture.
I don’t think you have any idea what it was like when Jesse Owens upstaged Adolf Hitler at the 1936 Olympics. But yeah I know Sha’Carri winning would be bigger….of course.
Hitler was kinder to Owens than was President Roosevelt, according to Owens.

No upstaging at all.
Owens never met Hitler. So show the quote.
Well actually....
The next day—August 3, 1936—Owens won his first gold medal in the 100-meter dash. Hitler did not meet or shake hands with Owens. That said, there are several reports of a salute or wave. According to sports reporter and author Paul Gallico, writing from Berlin, Owens was “led below the honor box, where he smiled and bowed, and Herr Hitler gave him a friendly little Nazi salute, the sitting down one with the arm bent.” Owens himself later confirmed this, claiming that they exchanged congratulatory waves. So, Owens was not personally snubbed by Hitler. However, Owens did feel that he had been snubbed by someone: U.S. Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt. A month after the Olympic Games, Owens told a crowd, “Hitler didn’t snub me—it was [Roosevelt] who snubbed me. The president didn’t even send me a telegram.” Roosevelt never publicly
F.D.R.'s so-called New Deal distributed aid in southern states using Block Grants. Block Grants to racist White southern governors who deprived Black southern citizens of aid. Aid southern Whites received. Since Hitler did no harm to J Owens and F.D.R. allowed racism in U.S. and made no effort to give U.S. Blacks equal rights, clearly F.D.R. was worse.
Barely anyone knew who she was before 2021. She certainly wasn’t a global star.
Covid is not the best time to be made famous, but also she is super young, she was 20/21 y.o. in 2021 . Honestly I can't name any 21 year old sprinter right now.
Yes, people know Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, but she is 36 y.o., a full 15 more than She-carru

More correctly, Owens didn't snub Hitler, since he waved first.

You are painfully stupid. Or a Nazi sympathizer - which is the same thing.
