Not sure anyone on this board realizes how close the global financial system is on the verge of absolutely unraveling. The Eurozone is pretty much hanging on by a thread. Even China’s government can’t fudge the numbers enough to show economic growth. The Fed completely mishandled inflation here in the USA and is trying to put 2-3 million people out of work at a time when our country is already on the verge of coming unglued. It’s a very bleak global situation and Putin is absolutely going to use that to his advantage.

Maybe people should be writing letters to the politicians that represent them on the local, state, and national level.

It's no guarantee that it will have fruitive results but it might be more effective than posting here on Letsrun if enough people do it.

Pretty true. But you clearly dont know how inflation works or the current us job numbers. Every business in the US is trying to hire. Some countries have 80% plus inflation right now. We are doing better than most (nearly all). This is not a "fed" issue, its a global crisis we have never seen before with pandemics/supply chain and war going on. We all bought into global economy, which has its perks, but now we see the downside. Supply and demand my friend you get the good with the bad. The Fed is doing exactly what every economist thinks they should-which is ham-handed and not real efficient but it gets the basic job done. Buying is already decreasing. But our hands are largely tied.

You need to include millions of dollars with those letters you are wasting your time.

The Russian people are catching on and I cannot imagine a bunch of billionaire oligarchs are willing to live out their lives eating canned food in underground bunkers. I also seriously doubt that Russian strategic nuclear forces are willing to turn the keys and then hope to live out their remaining years in a cramped submarine or a small launch control center.

Your mistake lies in thinking the US needed to "excuse" nuking the nation the launched a war with it. Easy to say when you wouldn't have been one of the kids being forced to storm the beaches into machine gun fire.
