Grace Ping is an adult. She peaked prior to puberty. She looks very healthy today.

I saw Katelyn tuohy killing it in an Instagram workout, she's got a shot, I don't know I think chelengot is a little overhyped she doesn't really have amazing speed or anything and this is a really fast course, probably be like 5 or 6 girls right there at the Finish

I've been following that Liberty storyline, really cool to see some VA women flirting with All-American. I really hope Doan can do it on Saturday--and Liberty of all schools. Thats a school to watch possibly. (Not a Liberty student or alum but just suprised to see them having a good athlete).

Wow Marlee might actually race… if you look at NC states Instagram story she’s on the bus to nationals. I feel like she isn’t an alternate because why wouldn’t they bring someone who raced all season instead. They might be bringing her specifically to race.

I was surprised too but it looks like there are other girls in the video that wouldn’t race either. Wonder if they’re bringing the whole team for support

I'm no fan of Liberty University and think that the Falwells, particularly Jerry Falwell, Jr, are scum, but it isn't unusual for Liberty to have good athletes. Remember Galen Rupp's nemesis Josh McDougal, the 2007 NCAA XC men's champion? He looked to be one of the future stars of US distance running but had some unfortunate injury issues and was never the same, unfortunately. What about Sam Chelanga? He was the 2009 & 2010 XC champion and still holds the NCAA 10,000 meter record of 27:08.49.

As I said I'm no fan of the school and some of the people associated with the school but there have been some good athletes and good athletic teams at Liberty.

"...one off handed comment"? It was inappropriate and potentially hurtful. And even after someone posted proof that the comment was laughably wrong, the jerk would not back down.

Highly doubtful...looks like the entire team is coming, as many of the teams will do! Great way to cap off the year and give everyone the 'experience' of nationals.

I would think the team is set unless injuries come into play.

One off handed comment by an anonymous coward can do a ton of damage. Damage that you will never experience first hand because no one bothers to talk about your body on these boards here.

Fwiw, Nichols won the above race. Clairmonte was 20ish seconds behind her. #405 is Mary Kate Vaughn who ran at Boston College and may run professionally now. Nichols barely beat her- something like .2 seconds. She was the best runner in Oakwood high school history until this year when grace hartman came along. Ironically, Grace has committed to NC State. Coach Henes, a native Ohioan, keeps tapping that Buckeye pipeline.
