Shelby, Jerry and Shalane and the lawyer made some very powerful statements at the press event today. I know many of you won't watch an hour long video so we are going turn today's press event into a podcast as it's much easier for you all to listen to something of that length while commuting or running. In the meantime, we've also spliced out Shelby, Jerry's and Shalane's opening statements. Some of my favorite quotes from Jerry are below. I love the intentional confusion being run here: "minimal amount" becomes "trace amount" by the transitory property of "we like these people". Zero evidence or fact to back that up. No idea for the reader to establish what amount she was tested at and what anti doping considers a "trace amount". But this is WaPo for you, where you never know what page the front page story will be on -- too busy serving the interests of powerful and important people/corporations, owned by the richest person in the world.

At least she put 'could' in there, or this thing really would look even more of a PR release than it seems to imply.

Same opinion writer didn't want a horse suspected of being doped to run because that would be condoning horse abuse. Condemns sanctioning dopers in running because that would be athlete abuse.

We can't put any weight on an athletes adamant, emotional denial. Every single doper that's ultimately admitted to it acted exactly that way. These emotional press conferences mean nothing.
We have to rely on reliable testing. In my review of the results, it's pretty obvious she doped. The "just 5 ng/dl" PR spin is working though. I've seen journalists unquestionably take Schumacher's word that this is a tiny amount. Where's the critical thinking among these journalists? The odds she could have blood levels this high from oral consumption are far, far less like than the "1 in 10" number Jerry gives(more PR spin).

You are very, very naive and didn't do any research. Frankie Andreu and Tyler Hamilton gave very detailed incidents that clearly showed Lance was lying. How you could believe Lance and not them speaks volumes about you more than Lance admitting or not admitting to cheating.

Oh! That settles it. You called people out of their names so no polygraphs work.

If you ask a gal, Susan Smith: Where are the kids???!!! Cops were able to get her agitated. Smith failed and confessed. Do you think Shelby Houlihan suffers guilt or remorse for taking PEDs? Polygraph was self-administered, meaning Nike or her lawyer set up polygraph session. Houlihan knew the questions she was to be asked.

When are her American Records being deleted from wiki?

I'm getting sick of seeing that she still owns the records.

From now on if someone is banned for 4 years then their records have to be banned immediately as well.

This is some bull crap that they are still all over online.

Huge amounts of record deletion needs to be taking place on all sites that currently show her having the American Records.

She doesn't own crap.

Denial sucks.
