Dieter Baumann claimed his nandrolone was from spiked toothpaste. This happened in the 1990s, when Schumacher was an athlete.
I find it impossible to believe someone of even average intelligence who is a professional running coach has not heard of nandrolone.
That makes it difficult for me to believe whatever else he has to say.

Has anyone considered that maybe they haven't heard of those drugs because....they don't do drugs?

I'm a part of this sport, but I have no idea what any athlete that gets busted for drugs or masking agents are actually taking. I see the headline, read the drug, but it doesn't imprint or remember it, or look into it more. I don't need to know that info if I'm not going to use it.

But I'm sure you all trust Salazar, since making your own son take topical testosterone creams for "research" is a sign of a trustworthy coach.

But a question for the doubters since these statements "make him look guilty," what should he say to make him believe him? That he knows nandralone? (sp?), he suspected she was doing something because she was running really fast? that you shouldn't trust anyone, even the people you coach? Because remember Ajee Wilson, Jarrion Lawson, Brenda Martinez came back with positive results but were exonerated....were their statements any different than this??????

who knows ...maybe she innocent?......but maybe some of the people you've thrown under the bus previously were innocent too......why the change of approach in this instance?

Pete chose to bring up Brenda Martinez name . Brenda’s situation , her test was 20 times below the WADA threshold . This is a Nike/BTC issue , nothing to do with NB athletes.

Yeah I don’t buy that crap. All of the BTC athletes should be called into question. Paul Chelimo is most certainly doped and Lopez smacked him after doubling back from the 10k. Wake up people. BTC is dirty just like NOP was/is.

Is your publication willing to do more investigation of this matter, to confirm whether or not what was presented by the attorney in the teleconference is accurate?

Maybe your publication can take a stand on this matter to see whether WADA's process is actually fair, or conversely, whether the food supply can trip the WADA limits. If it is the latter, then their process is a sham that can unfairly harm athlete's livelihoods, agree?

WADA didn't even adhere to its own stated policy regarding inconclusive results (see the document that lawyer Greene presented in the video).

So what are the leaders of the sport going to do about it?

If, as Schumacher says, innocent athletes are afraid to be tested by WADA, maybe whole training groups should refuse to participate in this malicious charade.

In other words, boycott testing until WADA is forced to explain its arbitrary decisions in no uncertain terms.

Good luck finding another pro coach come to her defense. Where are the opinionated pro coaches?
