Way too manipulate it. it is only unlimited if they have a 3.6 GPA or higher. nobody has an entire team with that so stop the nonsense and making excuses that your school only invests in football.

I still can't believe that Cumberlands got 3rd place as a team. Behind Asslouj and Madeo, who both had a great race, they really didn't look strong. They were massively overrated, only 2 runners were able to consistently impress over the season. Embarrassing!

Terrible take! Outside of Milligan who wouldn't take a 3rd place finish? If a 3rd is embarrassing season and they win both track like last year sign me up. My administration would be thrilled.

I was talking to Asslouj after the race and apparently Cumberlands had 4 injured runners.

Since we don't wanna talk about XC anymore... It's racewalk season! Who do we think is winning nationals on the men's and women's side because all of you care so much! The champion Dillion Melchiore has been running prs in cross (26:30). Its hard to not mention Cole Bennet has been doing 70 miles weeks of pure racewalk. Not only that but Cameron Nocton (Indiana East XC All-American Mylan Nocton's twin brother) has ran 25:13 at nationals. Its hard not to bat an eye at that! I don't know if he actually comes back, but Pablo Sans-Rillo also has a podium finish to his name. We also have more returners on the guys side that have had strong xc seasons and are looking for improvement including Owen Nolte and Nathan Lamas, as they are the returning previous All-Americans, not including British Columbia. On the women's side, some people are coming back from injury, specifically the main Cumberlands squad, as 3 of the 4 returners are currently coming back or rehabbing injuring currently. British Columbia had some good people, but they wont be at indoor on the women's side, even with a 1, 3, 4 finish at outdoor nationals. Some other notable people are Ashlyn Poulin, Baileigh Morris, and possibly Grace Forest if she cleans up her form. Let me know your thoughts below other than never talk about racewalk again!

Nationals showed that the middle was deep and one guy on each team really could’ve been the difference of your team being the top of the middle or the bottom.

Both were the furthest off on Indiana East of any top 25 finishing team.

Actually I believe that C of I were the biggest Nationals winners.

St. Mary's men had a pretty disappointing season.

They came in looking like a real contender, didn't have any significant injuries that I can see and didn't have any issues with eligibility like some of the other top teams did. I think they were a consensus top three team coming in and just didn't perform up to that at all.

Shawnee State men had a historic season, with a top 15 team finish and a huge upset to win yet another conference title. But I think it’s important we look at who and what got them there, and a lot of that success is without a doubt the result of the hard work that came from Coach Dean Freitag. Coach Dean has redefined the role of assistant coach, always offering support in the teams most challenging workouts and giving them the guidance they needed during races to push the athletes to the next level. Coach Dean is known to always be there to celebrate his athletes victories and be there for them in their defeats. Because of the coaching efforts by Coach Dean, it is safe to say Shawnee State is on a trajectory to continue moving up in the rankings and team finishes. You will want to watch out for Shawnee State come track season, because the athletes there are running with a fire lit up beneath them by one of the best assistant coaches in the NAIA: Coach Dean Freitag.

3/4 of your job coaching is to keep people healthy enough to race at championships. Seems like Cumberlands has a high injury rate/it hits their more valuable kids more often then other teams

Or more made up 💩 is stated about this program. Who was hurt? Who is hurt? Just because they are cross training on Strava doesn’t necessarily mean they are hurt. It might mean that measures are being made to prevent injury. Maybe they were running and got hit by a car or attacked by a dog or just bad luck. Is this the athletes or coaches fault? I think a lot of people make 💩 up about a team they wish they were a part of.

Historic to those we don't know the history of the program. Top 15 isn't special to that program at all.

I'd like to point out one of the more impressive things from nationals was Montreat's women finishing in the top 5 (with 3 AA's) after being displaced from their campus for a month in the middle of the season due to Hurricane Helene. Even when they got back to campus, most of their local trail systems were not available due to storm damage.

Even though the men's team had a disappointing day (they didn't have Ryan Stade, which made a huge difference), they deserve credit as well for toughing it out to finish the season.
