Oh, crap. If *Flagpole* is predicting this, now I have to worry...

I see that IMPOTUS is wearing gloves. I guess he didn't want to get infected by the book. Smart.
Come on, who says he's dumb?

And even though there was plenty of political calculus behind his statement, I'll give him props for getting it right.
Then again, I can't find where Sasse actually said this. Is it possible that the quote was made up?
as tempting as it is to roll our eyes at Sasse, and lord knows he deserves a lifetime of eye rolls, at a time like this it's better to welcome people to team anti-Trump than to push them away.

I look to these cases as a potential sign of mass exodus from the trump train. Mouth breathers like trigged will of course stay in the train until it flies off the cliff

Regarding Fat Hurt's possibilities:
1. Dies in office - that is a real possibility as he is overweight, has a horrible diet and has heart disease.
2. Thrown in prison - He will go to prison, but that will not be what takes him out of office.
3. Flees to exile - This is possible but unlikely. He has a chance to stay out of prison just due to the fact the nation might want to just move on from him. If he does manage that, he can just stay at Mar-a-lago and play golf and eat his hamburgers.
4. Taken out back and shot - This is the most unlikely, and I really hope this does NOT happen. He has already left a permanent stain on the US. This would be an even worse one.
More than likely, he will lose the election and although he will try to put up a verbal/legal fight, he will leave the White House when it is time to do so. He will have some serious legal challenges when he is out of office, and as I have said many times, I do believe he will go to prison.
I agree with your assessment of #1 and #4.
If he continues to contest the election past January 20, 2021 then he will be thrown in prison. That's how #2 could come about.
I think #3 is the most likely scenario. He will try to contest the election but as soon as he realizes it's not going to work he will flee like the coward he is. Tiny can live quite comfortably at Trump Towers Istanbul. Plus, he can continue to claim that he is the rightful president. That would help his ratings on OANN.
I think the least extreme thing will be how it goes down. He will lose the election, and he will exit the White House without being forced to. He will then crow about how the military was behind him and he could have stayed in office if he wanted to, but being the good guy that he is, he honored the election ("even though it was rigged" he will say). He will do this in hopes that it is a point in his favor that keeps him out of prison.
I honestly can't believe how bad of a person he is, and I have a big imagination.

A Flagpole endorsement is like the kiss of death, and I say that as someone who will literally vote for anyone but Trump.

I don't get the idea that he'll refuse to leave the office. No president has the power to do so. If he chains himself to his desk, someone will bring bolt cutters and that will be that,
As for the military, I believe every single general despises him.

Are there examples of authoritarians in established nations who 1) run a fair election and 2) refuse to leave after losing?
Maybe in South America, if el presidente has a few generals on his side. Which I don't see happening here. Trump is not the kind of guy who gathers generals in his orbit.
But probably there are some tactics Trump is eyeing that have been tried over time in South Am.
But I can't believe he'd pull that. I mean really.
Predictit has the electoral college 319-219 for the Dems now.

And today The Gap is over 11 percentage points. His approval is staying pretty steady, but the disapproval is climbing.
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/The thing is--and I can empathize a bit, having been in a very vaguely similar situation--he has no principle(s) to guide him, so he's just flailing and trying to put out one fire after another. He wants to be re-elected, and is doing whatever at the moment seems to help with that; but that desire is not a principle. He doesn't have any actual basis, any foundation, to guide his actions. It can be a damned uncomfortable feeling.

Well here’s an argument that Trump will find a way to try to stay in power.

He has no friends in the Pentagon or the intelligence community. And if he does lose, no politician is going to seriously stick their neck out for him because it would damage numero uno : themselves.

As much as he is a numbskull, he must be well aware that the only reason people have been drawn to him is because of their greed. He lives and breeds greed and entitlement. I don't think it's about power with him as that concept is a bit more complex for him to grasp... people like Putin are driven by that and have learned to grab it. Trump is a dolt that just needs praise and a greasy burger to get through the day. He also strikes me as someone who will remain delusional until the very end. He came in like a deer in the headlights and will leave like one.
Smells like an incoming endorsement...
