What is going on at Illinois? Ashley Spencer? The only person that knows what is going on there now that TBB is gone is Coach Erb. It will be interesting to see what they do. They have made some really bad decisions in recent years with their coaching staffs both on the men's and women's side. We will see how much the Illini care about XC/T&F very soon!!!

Okay, Coach Angel was a bad hire. Coach Turk seems to be righting the ship that was in terrible shape when he was given the program. Time will tell, but it seems to be going the right direction. Coach TBB won a Big Ten track title this year, hard to complain about that...
No it is not. This is a problem in our profession. Most are Machiavellian in their ethics. The ends does not justify the means. Just because someone has a good athlete on their team does not mean they are a good coach. It is truly frighting the way some people think in coaching.

He wasn't sure, he was nervous though, about to leave for Italy on family vacation and not expecting to have a job when he got back

I knew Davis when he was in the I train in Lagrange program in the 90's. He didn't know how to coach then and still doesn't and he was always a raciest.
The idiots training was 200's one day and 600's the next and I quote "sometime we run the opposite direction for variety."
Only reason he got the job at SJSU was the same reason he got hired.
