RE: Cheating at Marathons

Yes, DQ'd from 2013 Rocky 100 last week. This thread also discusses strong possibility that 2012 Rocky 100 (her splits are once again out of whack late in the race, similar to 2013, just not as obnoxious) and 2011 Wild Hare 50 (final 8 miles as fast the the #1 female finisher, and there was a post about someone seeing her cheat at this race) might be next. Joe should just eliminate all of her times. There is no place in our sport for this person.

Now she is running the final 8 mile spilt as fast as the fastest two women in the race and in Texas, period.

Plus there is an eye witness on this thread that visually busted her cutting the course in plain site.

3rd Place Female with a 50-mile time of 10:16 ?!?!?!? Wholly smokes that is an incredible time!!!!!

The following was OK'd to post by Allen. He indicated that "the truth is never hard to remember".

This explains the amazing time and 3rd place finish.

I was running the 50 miler, and in the afternoon, I was approaching “Speedway” (I think that’s the name of the trail that runs up and down next to the county road), I was not far behind her (but I was not in contention for any award as she was a lap ahead of me, maybe two laps ahead, who knows), and I saw her cross over the trail markings, completely eliminating running “Speedway.”

I also think she saw me, as I caught her dead stop in the act!

I have suspected since that day that she is a habitual cheater.

The point is though she's not training and focusing on a "one-off marathon" like most runners do.

She's achieving these unbelievable multiple marathon and ultra results. Totally unbelievable results with evidence and witnesses of serial cheating going back years. Back then she must have thought to herself 'how easy is this' and then got really serious while also making a good dollar out of it and feeding her desire for attention.

It helps if you have someone authenticating that piece of paper with a different surname to yours and an authoritative handle such as 'Race Director', 'Event Organiser', etc also, if they're your husband/wife (but no need to tell Guinness that).

OK, we are hearing loud and clear about the ultramarathon cheating!! Ultrarunners have really stepped up on this thread!!

Wow, another eye witness to publicly call out what they saw at the Wild Hare 50! I appreciate when people put their darn name down and say, yes, I saw cheating and will stand up and let people know.

What about the Frequent Marathoners (FM) or "I Ran" scene? Certainly there are stories out there that need to be told. I cannot imagine this was all going on without somebody smelling fraud.

It was less than three years ago. No disrespect but if I saw someone who looked her who achieved the amazing feat she supposedly achieved then I would remember it and for a lot longer than three years.

I'm trying to search her ultrasignup results, and although her name is there twice (looks like a typo w an extra h in one record), I am not pulling any results. I am doing fine for other names... Did they just pull all her records? Kinda awesome.

She has been permanently banned and removed by the owner of Ultrasignup. He had enough. Poof. She is gone and won't return to his site. Just another outstanding person standing up for our sport and not being afraid to take a brave stance against cheaters!

1). I would feel uncomfortable if I were you too. Lots more athletes are coming out. This is just the start. Athletes are banding together now and we won't be threatened or intimidated by people like you any longer.

2). He put (or in this case allowed) his name to be put out there. He is not hiding behind his story or stance. What's you name btw?

3). Truth hurts. Get use to more of it.

Ultrasignup is one of the worst race results pages. I never use it because it so hard to find anything there. I wonder why he would pull all of her results? Makes it very difficult to find other interesting results.

As for outing cheaters make sure you have solid EVIDENCE: multiple witnesses, pics, GPS Data.... or else you may wind up in court fighting a lawsuit.
