2013 College Coaching Positions Open(ing)

Lets call it the way it really is. Bigger schools steal athletes from smaller schools at an alarming rate. The smaller schools recruit, train, and sign an athlete out of high school who most big D-1's would give a rats butt about. But, as soon as that athlete hits that big time or distance, here comes the big schools to steal the athlete. Why don't the big schools do their homework and recruit the "diamond in the rough". They do not because they are too lazy.

You are bitter, you need to relax. The "big time" school that are stealing the athletes are just taking advantage of being a "big school" that happens to be more attractive than that school that showed interest out of HS. The athletes are to blame more often than not. I worked with a large school this past season and I was surprised how often athletes would contact that school without a release. That school followed the rules and didn't return any contact. I will also say that I know of coaches that would go ahead and recruit those athletes if they are quality and not care about the small school they originally choose to attend.

Or call it lack of loyalty in the US. More and more athletes lack loyalty to the coach/school who helped them achieve success. And more and more college coaches lack a code of ethics since their jobs are on the line every season.

Oh come on...Lack of loyalty in the US? That's not fair to say.

These are individual issues on all ends Coach/Athlete/Admin.

COME ON! This is a college coaching positions thread, not this BS you all have been talking about. If you want to discuss scholarships, transfers, or anything other than coaching openings please go somewhere else. I think people like to get on their soap boxes and try to preach to the crowd. Well... I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I don't want to read that S**T! Go back to openings or get the hell out!

Toledo wants a woman to run a woman's program

It's not entirely a women's program. They have men's xc also.

Toledo may have wanted a woman but the Murray State woman wasn't qualified enough.
