We don't need a million thread on this topic. We like one thread per topic. We merged several others into this thread including one called "Alex Pretti was a deranged lunatic." and one called "New York Times reports that Pretti attacked ICE cars 11 days before his death" and one called "LeBron James: Why hasn't he commented on the Alex Pretti killing?"
We are in some strange territory here considering the majority of Republicans who support the second ammendment and the leaders of the party are saying carrying with a permit is illegal.
Democrats are confused also. They would not support this guy walking around with a firearm.
To me it is clear that this administration will suppress all of us for their own purposes
How do you know. You admitted you didn’t read it. And “I don’t have to read it “ is not a valid response.
Do you think the protests are spontaneous?
I don't read anything the promoters of a terrorist regime promotes. Trump's terrorists are murdering American citizens who are protesting against what his thugs are doing. That's the issue.
That is where you couldn’t be more wrong. This is all about elections and on a broader scale, foreign policy, just as it was during the George Floyd riots. Those on the left who are paying for these agitators rejoice when someone gets shot. It is their aim. Good and Pretti are nothing but useful pawns to those behind the unrest. This is not organic resistance. This is highly organized and it would not surprise me if it was funded by governments beyond our borders, just as during Vietnam. Many organizers are formally indoctrinated in Cuba.
Wait. Was he a domestic terrorist hoping to inflict maximum damage on agents, or was he just a pawn being set up?
One can be both. He played a significant role in his own demise. He was illegally carrying his gun (a gun that is illegal in a number of liberal states) with enough ammo to do far more than simply defend himself. He interfered with law enforcement. He resisted law enforcement. If you are carrying, you should go out of your way to avoid conflict unless you are in your own home. He chose an opposite path. As someone is shouting “gun, gun, gun”, he is reaching towards his pocket with his left hand and has another object (his phone) in his other hand. In the split second, that is a difficult determination to make.
Gonna be funny when it is the republicans who are actually gonna take away peoples guns.
Wouldn't surprise me. Up is down, black is white. The pied piper has convinced them of a lot of things, he may well succeed at convincing them of this too.
Maybe in your country people have a constitutional right to obstruct law enforcement officers from performing their duties ….
The previous administration allowed millions of unknown people into OUR country, law enforcement has a duty to find them and find out what they are doing here without being assaulted by ICU nurses packing Sig Sauer 9mm with laser sights.
“Assaulted” would be doing a lot of work there for you … if it were actually doing any work.
“Our”; “packing”: “laser sights” — appeal to emotion
The billionth example re:hypocrisy regarding facts vs. feelings

Its not about being armed or not armed. You don't get to act as jury and executioner and pump 5 bullets into someone who was clearly apprehended because you think it was wrong of them to bring a weapon to a protest. It is comical to hear republicans speaking out against the right of an individual to bear arms.

Honestly all this is so dumb. Everyone's acting as if it's black and white, two things can be true at the same time!! ICE was created in 2003 and has been helping stop the flow of illegal drugs and criminals from neighboring countries for years, in that sense they are good. But 7v1 a dude and than shooting him is totally not ok, and suddenly ICE is bad. Somalian people have added a lot to the American culture, same with Hispanic. In that sense they are good. But when they undermine the US costumes system and enter illegally or are scamming the government, they are bad.

Pot meet kettle. This is the Miller/Noem shock and awe show. If this was about catching violent criminals, they'd be doing it quietly and sending the vast majority of agents to states where most immigrants reside. They went to a blue state to create chaos and they're getting it. Steven Miller wet dream on steroids.
The only people rejoicing over Good and Petti's deaths are those on the right. Say it... they were murdered. Petti's killing was an f*cking execution. Suddenly the constitution doesn't seem to matter to MAGATs.
They would be doing it quietly, except for the fact that communist organizers are tracking ICE and putting obstacles in their way. Most red states comply with ICE detainers, thus, there is no need for ICE to go to out in the community in a red state. When an illegal alien is arrested by locals in Texas for child abuse, DUI, sexual assault, etc. they cooperate with ICE and hand them over at the jail. It is primarily blue states like Minnesota that release them back into the community. Good and Pretti were killed obstructing ICE from deporting a sex offender and a wife beater. That’s what you are defending.
People DO support immigration enforcement, especially when it comes to serious criminals.
People NO NOT support: federal agents arresting people who are here legally (and in some cases are actual American born citizens) and then just saying "oops" like it's no big deal, law enforcement who is so clueless about the law that they think they don't need warrants (going into a private home just to see if someone is breaking the law inside isn't how it's supposed to work), poorly trained and heavily armed anonymous goons operating with no recourse available when they screw up.
Enforcing immigration without all the other BS really isn't too much to expect.
This is 100% true. Just because the George Floyd incident happened doesn't mean that everyone thought police should be removed. Police, ICE, military should be able to do their jobs well, without shooting people. Police do it every day, ICE needs to learn to as well

Telling.
Greg Bovino is behaving like an absolute POS.

It is interested to see a lot of people flip flop on the 2nd Amendment over this.
Some conservatives are saying this guy shouldn’t have brought a gun and a lot of liberal are saying that him bringing a gun is his right.
Quite interesting…and tragic. Tribalism is ruining this country.

Pretti didn’t have his permit or identification on his person. In that respect, he was carrying illegally. The firearm and magazines he had on him at the time are banned in numerous Democrat states.

Take off your MAGA lenses. Petti's gun was legal and lawfully permitted. He chose to help a woman and was shot in the back 10 times. It was murder. Both his 1st and 2nd Amendment rights were violated.

These gutless turds do not want to hear any of this pretty truthful account
it’s amazing to me that a shi- hole like DC was cleaned up to a huge extend in three weeks
with limited to no resistance
the only reason Minneapolis fails is because of leadership and dead beat paid for shi stirrers

Why did you lie and say that he pulled his gun on ICE, Joe? How can you call others wrong when you flat out lied?

A lot of places lobbied for reduced police presence and criminal justice reform in the wake of the Floyd incident. A number of places complied, and as a result, murders increased and a lot of additional black people died. Unintended consequences of the well intentioned. If people in blue states actually supported immigration enforcement (they don’t really), than they would comply with ICE at the prison, instead of forcing ICE out into the community.
