In addition to completely outing Seth in the first place (to the ISU coaches), I also don't have any way to interpret her comment about Rowan's track team and "depressed cities/towns" other than Rowan is offering BS academic scholarships to talented athletes from lower-income areas in the state.
Why would questioning the eligibility of her son suddenly strip opportunities elsewhere, unless those opportunities are contingent on athletic performance even though D3 is explicitly against that?

I don't even really blame Rowan doing zero due diligence; from their perspective, here's a D1 caliber athlete walking through their doors. Their actions once they (should have) realized that the story is considerably more complex is very, very damning though.
I don't see how this resolves in anything over than Seth being ineligible and Rowan forfeiting their title, which is wild because they're clearly a top 3 team without him. Maybe, maaaaybe they skate on the fact that the NCAA is totally toothless in the NIL era and figures that D3 just isn't worth their time.

You should blame them. According to the formal complaint filed with the NCAA, per bylaw 14.01.1, Rowan was required to certify Seth's eligibility before allowing him to compete. This requirement is not satisfied by perfunctory assurances ie Seth telling Rowan he had been reinstated to Iowa State's team. They were required to call/email ISU to find out the truth. That never happened. Based on the now revealed indefinite suspension letter, I think we can safely say that he was in fact not reinstated to the team.
Dimit taking his marching orders from Seth's mommy is so funny. I cannot believe how much they let her insert herself into this whole thing.

In my mind, this would be before any speculation of PED's? or at least before anything went south at ISU. All to say, I don't think the sign in at the time was malicious in the sense they were snooping for any info.
