City officials in Minneapolis also said they are aware of reports of a possible shooting involving a federal law enforcement agent. The incident happened in the area of West 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue. It was captured on a video posted to Facebook and verified by NBC News. “We are working to confirm additional details. We ask the public to remain calm and avoid the immediate area,” the city said in aFacebook post. Two intersections in South Minneapolis have been blocked from traffic. Dozens of masked federal immigration officers are on the scene, and protesters have started to gather.Officers have let off some tear gas and pepper bombs.A DHS spokesperson said, “Suspect had a firearm with 2 magazines situation evolving. Will get you more information ASAP.”Discus.

It's really simple.

People DO support immigration enforcement, especially when it comes to serious criminals.

People NO NOT support: federal agents arresting people who are here legally (and in some cases are actual American born citizens) and then just saying "oops" like it's no big deal, law enforcement who is so clueless about the law that they think they don't need warrants (going into a private home just to see if someone is breaking the law inside isn't how it's supposed to work), poorly trained and heavily armed anonymous goons operating with no recourse available when they screw up.

Enforcing immigration without all the other BS really isn't too much to expect.

The previous administration allowed millions of unknown people into OUR country, law enforcement has a duty to find them and find out what they are doing here without being assaulted by ICU nurses packing Sig Sauer 9mm with laser sights.

Obstruction - if it occurs - does not license extra-judicial executions. But the democratic right to protest doesn't license anything to be used against it.

If this was about catching violent criminals, they'd be doing it quietly and sending the vast majority of agents to states where most immigrants reside. Citizens connected through churches, their kids' schools, their favorite restaurants, men's rec hockey teams... Citizens are forming groups and organizing against ICE because ICE is breaking laws and acting like fascist occupiers.
