Well that's only 3, ...(not sure that EZ should count though...lol)...but again, I'm pretty sure I could go find a similar number claiming OSU and others. Very few saying NM though...which is always funny.
And NCSt is the number 1 ranked team....so I don't think people are out of line for expecting them to win. But I wouldn't say the thread was taken over by NCSt 'obsession'.
Many are obsessed yes - no not all. Some people can actually debate intelligently and on a more broad scale bringing others teams and runners into the mix. I personally appreciate those debates - not pages of who will toe the line for one team and how fast one runner may or may not start a race. Maybe I’m getting all the threads mixed up. There are A LOT of them in my defense …
Regardless - just trying to bring more into the conversation than another post about the same thing agaiinnnn
yes Alabama needs a 5th and best case scenario a 6th
if Starliper runs then the odds go way up for NC
ND and NAU feel like dark horses to make some noise. They both have 2 low sticks- Markezich and Thronson. NAU with Stearns and Reiss. Both teams also have 3,4,5 runners who are strong w ND- Chisholm, Denner, Keller.
NAU- O’Neill is gaining on the front two plus Bries, Van Pelt, Morley and Kebbe have all had great races at different times this season and look like a very solid 4-7.
UNM and Oklahoma are loaded with talent
OK - has 3 legit low sticks Roe, Cook, Jepkirui and Hentemann is a great 4th
UNM has a roster that can all finish very close together which is scary scoring wise in a big meet like Natties.
Colorado losing Minuitti is unfortunate for them as Covert has looked like her old self at Pac 12’s and Hertestein is stepping up in a big way.
