Yup forgot about them. That’s my point. The Tuohy - NCST obsession is blinding everyone to a bunch of other really really good teams
Maybe you should re-read the thread...virtually no one is handing this to NC. If their top 5 show up, they will be very hard to beat...if one runner falters, there are so many good teams right behind them. NM could take this race regardless. ALA and ND could easily podium.

Yeah no one is handing in to nc state here! I would say ok st, NM, Ala most likely upsets. NM is amazing but no low sticks, OK & Ala have great top 2-3.
Alabama needs Tyynismaa to get back to form and then they will be lethal. She has been improving through the season but still not back to 2021 fitness, as far as I can tell.

Good god… re read 43 pages ?! No thanks. I never said people were handing NCST the title- just said after sooooo many pages of one team being discussed I decided to throw in some others as contenders.
ND ran amazing at conference
Colorado on a big upswing after Pac 12- Covert returning to form
alabama looks very legit
NAU- basically jogged conference with a final mile push and won handily. Great low stick

Why ND?
Think we are on the same page … ND did great at conference. Has very experienced runners
Here is your chance to try to impact coverage up front
What production elements would you like to see during the commercial-free broadcast of the @NCAATrackField DI Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 19?
(Remember that the broadcast begins at 10 am ET on ESPNU)

Actually back at the beginning almost everyone was handing the title to NC St, some with very low scores. There was a dissenter as I recall.

AL still needs a 5th.....2:00 back of Chelangat at SEC is a killer at Nationals.

In the beginning sure... as we're the coaches poll and all the ranking sites. That changed after nuttycombe

Lol...maybe you should change your name to 'Dissenter". If I recall, there was only a few who were calling for a clear win for NC, just as there was for OSU. But this thread was actually pretty balanced until the obvious people started accusing everyone of being a NC lover.
Anyway, like almost every other NCAA Champ race, this will come down to that 5th runner.
The issue for NcSt is injuries. Starliper is a wildcard and they lost Shaw. I expect Seymour to have a better race at nationals. That said, if Starliper is Ok then they remain the favorites.

I intended to show some of the predictions but alas I neglected to quote the post (:....the idea they were going to score <50 at the National meet I thought even back then was crazy,,,but some insisted on it.
Well that's only 3, ...(not sure that EZ should count though...lol)...but again, I'm pretty sure I could go find a similar number claiming OSU and others. Very few saying NM though...which is always funny.
And NCSt is the number 1 ranked team....so I don't think people are out of line for expecting them to win. But I wouldn't say the thread was taken over by NCSt 'obsession'.
