The simple argument is just to sit and wait for the next manned moon/mars missions. The kids can scream and whine about fake stuff, so what, multiple groups are trying to go back to the moon. Let’s see if it happens. Until then, the kids arguments just get stupider and stupider.
Twenty so-called space travellers would be on need to know. Their families? You must be joking. Do people at N.S.A., C.I.A., Office of Naval Intelligence tell their wives about their day at work? No! Mission Control? Stove pipe. Need to know only.
They interviewed and made of the show of the families for every launch. You really don’t know how secret projects work. 24 astronauts just kept quiet for their whole lives ok…
Mission Control, “need to know,” simulated data and control for the whole mission, simulated accidents etc.
This stuff is just funny. It’s harder to fake at this point.
yeah it was me. plenty of pictures of the landers out there.
is this a joke? the guy's own tweet reads:
"I pushed my GigaMoon image as far as I could, then you can see the same area imaged by a lunar orbiter"
The images that show the "landing site" are, again, provided by NASA. In his most zoomed in GigaMoon picture (top right) you can more or less see the general locale, but you see no details.
Fair enough I didn’t read the tweet closely enough.
The Japanese, Chinese, and Indian data are still there.
Simply fascinating that the US managed to deceive the Soviets whose sole goal was to beat the US to the moon, but a few internet sleuths were able to crack the code decades later.
The triviality of disproving the moon landings is so high that it’s a glaring hole in the fakers arguments. This reminds me a lot of anti vax or COVID denier arguments. There are multiple facets that someone can put together a good conspiracy theory for, but when assembled into a whole story, it’s just not realistic or consistent. Notice how the deniers will only focus on one argument at a time and just ignore anything that requires more - it’s the only way to maintain consistence

The Apollo actorNOTS were mostly Navy or Air Force officers and were considered to be on active duty. They had to follow orders from their superiors. They also knew that to speak out against the narrative would result in either a loss of their pensions, dishonorable discharge, prison or even death. They could not risk ruining their lives and hurting their families.
Why haven’t we mapped the whole sea floor? Plenty of things we can do but don’t.
We’ve sent plenty robots to mars (fake too? Multiple agencies?) so it’s not like the tech has stagnated beyond the human part.
When we go back to the moon in the 2030s… will that be fake too? Or are you just sure it won’t happen?
Just because one thing happened doesn’t mean something else did happen.
Again this is classic … refusing to assemble a complete theory. You talk about technology being insufficient is earlier posts, but when I bring the mars missions you just completely forget the technological arguments and rely on epistemological tautologies to argument instead of weighing data and building a consensus. I’ve seen this too much in other conspiracy rich contexts :)

Good call. You guys do seem to do that quite often. Like ignoring the laws of physics.

Again, what does any of those other things have to do with man walking on the moon?
Using your “logic” because a rover is sent to Mars proves we sent men to the moon in 1969. Makes perfect sense. Lol.
Or because we haven’t mapped the oceans (which we have), proves man walked on the moon in 1969.

See bold regarding families. I know.
Secret projects: I know law enforcement, current and former and military current and former keep their mouths shut when told to keep their mouths shut.
In summary, you are stating we, as humans were so advanced, 1969 through 1972 that we went to the moon. All humans since late 1972 cannot figure out how to send humans more than about 350 miles from Earth surface. Isn't that your argument?
Regarding a man or persons talking:
Stanley Kubrick talked but you do not believe him.

No, again, this is very classic conspiracy BS. One piece of evidence doesn’t prove anything. You take all the evidence and determine the most likely explanation for the evidence. Ifs easy to segregate the evidence and generate semi-plausible doubt for lots of individual pieces, but such doubt fall apart when the totality of evidence is considered!
Mars missions don’t PROVE the moon landing - they support the idea that we had the technology to get stuff out way out of earths orbit, transmit data etc.
The (high resolution) sea floor mapping problem shows that even though we have technological tools to do something; doesn’t mean we do it! It doesnt PROVE we went to the moon. It’s just a piece of explanatory evidence.
The strategies of conspiracies theories rely on zooming and ignoring the sum of evidence; which is quite a skill, but doesn’t do anything for actually changing a consensus.

Stuff. Not people. You're argument that we can take some explosives and fire crap high into the sky doesn't prove anything. Let me know when we get a rover BACK from Mars.
But yet we did this in 1969.... with people aboard.
It is ph*cking unbelievable that this site has threads that deny absolutely confirmed historical scientific facts and attract pages of deranged naysayers. It says everything one needs to know about the frequenters of this site and contemporary American culture.
That's rude. And incorrect. One website is not a reflection of 'contemporary American culture' by any means.
If you look at history, a lot of 'confirmed historical scientific facts' change over time. For example, the man who suggested that soap and cleaning hands prevents infection was committed to an asylum. No one believed him and it was an outrageous suggestion at the time. Whereas we all know now that soap helps. This was not too long ago either.
With millions worldwide, I saw the moon-landing "live" on television in 1969. It was not only one of the greatest scientific achievements of the 20th century but of all human history, that man was able to put foot on an alien world - another planet - and return.
It says much about the degeneration of this modern age that over 50 years on so many choose to construct false arguments for claiming this never happened and thereby reject one of humanity's greatest achievements.
By claiming the moon landings were faked the rest of history can also be rejected as fake - WW2 never really happened, Hiroshima was faked, as was the Holocaust - well, we've already been there - the Roman empire never existed, the Pyramids were never built, and indeed anything confirmed through established fact can be thrown in the dustbin. Nothing is true anymore - except what is randomly spouted and claimed on the internet that rejects everything science and history have taught us. We have truly built our own Tower of Babel, an outpouring of incomprehensible noise posturing as truth.
But like the Gadarene swine that went mad and threw themselves over a cliff we can see there are plenty assembled here determined to inflict upon themselves the same fate.

It's not your fault the landings were faked. It's not your fault.
...It's not your fault.
You don't need to do this.
You should be just as pissed as we are that the government used hightech at the time to pull the wool over your eyes and effectively altered the reality of your life.

For something you say definitively happened, you sure are having a difficult time proving it. 😂 You already had you pictures discredited. What’s next?

I don’t need to prove it. I have observed the evidence and determined the most likely explanation is that it happened. You have tried to poke small holes or inject doubts in little pieces here and there but it doesn’t affect the average of the evidence. There is too much independent (uncorrelated) data. I was kinda hoping this thread would have some new ideas from the deniers or direct evidence.
You doing the same thing. One piece of data doesn’t have the to entirely explanatory. Because we sent “stuff” to mars doesn’t prove we could send humans to the moon. It’s evidence for general technological capacity. One piece of the puzzle. You need to build a real model. Start trying to be a bit intellectual.
