Of course. Sophisticated viewers can appreciate the difference between what is essentially a treadmill time trial (with significantly reduced air resistance and a locked-in pace) and a real marathon race, but there are very, very few such viewers, and the people involved in this event are doing everything they can to make this seem like a real record-quality marathon. The pro forma acknowledgments that this is not the real deal will count for very little.
I really find this sickening.
