Did I say "presenting the findings of experts"?
Yes, you did.
"If the point is to present the opinions and findings and data and observations and conclusions of experts in the field -- quoting the experts seems directly on point."
But keep lying.
And then we have your "beliefs" about doping, as follows:
"I have often confirmed doping prevalence, and acknowledge the strong, widely held, belief in the powerful effect of doping."
So half a century of doping in sport and research on the subject has failed to convince you of anything more than that there is a "belief" that doping has a "powerful effect". That is a doping denier - just like a holocaust denier. No data and findings of experts - even "science" - will convince you of what you don't wish to believe.
So I did say "present the findings" was, in part, part of the original goal, along with data and observations and conclusions.
But what exactly is my belief about doping again?
I agreed with you that doping is prevalent -- so that is your belief too.
I acknowledge that athletes/fans/coaches believe in the powerful effect of doping.
Are you suggesting that is "my belief", and that that belief is wrong? I.e. that athletes/fans/coaches do not believe in the powerful effect of doping? You may be on to something -- that could explain why the Americans and Europeans did not experience the EPO-era success that the Africans did -- because Americans and Europeans did not believe in the powerful effect of doping. Hadn't really thought about it that way, but thanks for the tip.
You speak of "half a century of doping in sport", as if all of my ideas are about all drugs and all sports. Here we only speak of EPO and distance running. I have different ideas about testosterone and cycling. Recall we recently discussed two meta-studies suggesting all of the research on EPO and blood doping over-estimated the effect. This isn't just me cherry picking studies I like, but two global assessments of all research conducted to date that says the beliefs of athletes/fans/coaches is not as important as is widely believed, and that 50 years of doping in sports and research on the subject is not sufficient to explain elite running performance.
