I sometimes shout at them to race the other men, which of course they can't, because they're too slow, but I usually reserve that remark for that annoying man who sticks to my feet like glue, so that I act as an unofficial pacemaker for his effort at sub 20 minutes.
However, if you ever develop breasts, periods, a wide pelvis, shrink in height to nearer the average woman's height, have a tiny amount of testosterone but large amounts of oestrogen and progestogen, and all the other biological differences that make men faster than women but unable to give birth, then do feel free to criticise my running performance compared to you. Because you are much slower than me, comparatively. Men who can't race the other men, who get gratification out of sprinting in front of women at the finishing line and calling women 'slow' are pathetic. You have all the physical attributes to be faster, but you're still the same speed as a woman who is biologically very different from you.
Just race the other men.
Excellent post. Post of the year!!!
Men who find themselves finishing near women are deserving of our ridicule. They should immediately stop trying their hardest and run right behind the woman to ensure he doesnt accidentally finish in front of her. Men who kick in hard at the end of a marathon are pathetic unless only men are near them. Trying to run your best despite not being the best in the world is absolutely pathetic.
In fact, we should have a cutoff in races where if a woman is in front of you at the mid way mark, you are required to tie a hobble around your ankles to handicap you and ensure that you cant sprint into the finish line.
It's a good thing we have people like "Slow men versus fast women" capable of reading men's minds so that we know the intention of the men around her as she runs her blazing, world class "sub 20 minute 5k."
+1!
At first I thought the guy was a tool at first for pumping his fist but it may b/c he qualified for Boston.
He went over and apologized but I don't think he did anything wrong.
She should not have called him out, and if he did so it would have gone viral and cost him his rep. But I will come out and say it--she's a white female and the media loves that kind of story.
Double standards for men and women. Hate it.
Although I read she was cool with him after, so it's all good.
Pediatric fellow means a great job for her after med school. I'm not gonna lie; that's impressive to run sub-3 and have a job that will get you 120k RIGHT AWAY.
All you can do is improve your own situation...
If he had one ounce of decency in his bones, the dude should have stopped, dropped, and rolled his way to the finish.

Crawl to the finish and you can get millions of people telling you how great you are and get to be on TV shows.

Exactly. Currently you can't say anything. Happening in every sport, Dudes get to win events meant for females. Wonder if he registered as a female? LOL
I wonder if this will become a thing just follow the women’s leader and try to break and try to break her tape . Seems like more fun than yelling gobble gobble
Could have easily crawled to the finish. Have some decency for the opposite sex!

That was funny. Her reaction was a little excessive. I doubt he broke the tape to be a jerk, I'm thinking at that point it just didnt register in his mind that the tape was for the first female.
He ran no more than a quarter mile, at the most.

He is Castor Semenya Guyya's first cousin.

Woman who was womens winner says "@sshole" one time and then drops her hands to her knees to catch her breathe.
Man comes back and appears to apologize. Woman appears tired and doesnt respond initially.
Woman recovers a bit and shakes man's hand and walks away.
I'm not seeing either of them doing anything wrong. Had he been thinking clearly, I suspect he would have maybe tried to duck the tape or something, and after he has recovered a bit apologizes. Woman appears to have just said "@sshole" as an outburst in the moment of the end of a race. Also probably just a heat of the moment thing. A minute later she shakes the guys hand without any suggestion of being angry with him.
Nothing to see here, in my opinion, other than a somewhat humorous moment caused by the staff of a low key marathon not thinking of details.
This sums it up perfectly with context.
But it's more fun to focus on the small clip of him breaking the tape and her calling him an a-hole.

Wow, I never knew that men experienced these things in races too. Do men regularly get one male runner running behind them the entire way in a 10k, despite your changes in pace - slowing down, speeding up, fetching drinks and so on, who then sprint past you at the finish. Then in the finishing chute, try to talk about your hairstyle and say things like 'I was following you the entire way'. Wow I never knew that happened to so many men as well.
And think of all those men who get overtaken by a woman who breaks the finishing tape in front of them in a marathon. Whose appearance and suitability for relationships with women he will never meet is discussed in derogatory terms on internet sites.
Although actually I don't really want the subject the second paragraph is about to happen if it means experiencing the first;
I feel for ya men too now, knowing all that stuff happens to you as well.

Why does the lying media continue to ignore the fact that this whole issue was caused by the race officials? The Toledo Blade is #fakenews.

Here's a running tip, don't change your pace just to drop a competitor, especially one you're not even racing. Waste of energy. Just keep an going at an even pace.

So what you're saying is that you've never watched an Olympic 10,000m?
