200m specialist but ran 10.14 in the 100. Won an indoor 200m World title and made the finals of a couple of World Championships but didn't medal. Pretty long career at US National level.

Attended sprint factory Drake University and pulled from the mean streets of Des Moines.

Marti Krulee: 10.06 legal but then cheated by officials because he ran faster than Carl Lewis did in the other section that day. Went to sprint factory San Diego State under Dr. Dick Hill.

Krulee competed in the 70's. Little in the 90's. "last".

As they say, athletes have to do whatever it takes to level the playing field. But for whatever reason Teeters just looks much more blatantly juiced up than the other sprinters (maybe besides Gatlin and Gay), just shows you what kind of a joke NCAA testing is that a guy like Teeters has yet to fail a test, and probably never will.

Actually Wyoming has one of the lowest percentages of African Americans in the US. Can you understand what a percentage is?

China has two guys at 10.00 or better. Japan has a guy at 10.01. Germany has a white 10.0x guy right now. Britain has two sub 10.10 guy that are not black decent. Spain has a guy sub 10.1 who is white. American has a sub 10.05 guy. France has one. Iran has a one too. Turkey has non black african who has run sub 20.00Color is a factor do to likely hood of muscle limiting genetic triggers no existent in black Africans. Read the sport Gene. However, there are many non-black people who can run great times and I expect this number to grow along with diversity in the sprints.

Speed and power - how many black Africans win the Tour, the Giro or Vuelta? How about a single stage win with a sprint, or one day race? Zero.

There is currently one black African in the tour, a hill climbing specialist. How about all those massive legged sprinters who win all the flat stages with incredible sprint speeds? All whites.

What about the percentage of blacks in high jump? Of course some, but not many.

FYI, Teeters is officially sub 10. His official time was 9.995.

For what it's worth, he's officially the first white american sub 10. I'd definitely be curious what he can run the 40 in.

I want to hear SG's take on Teeters so that he can return in 4 years with another epic "I was right" rant! :)

No, In track & Field, times are rounded up to the highest decimal and it is the same rule for everybody. a 9"991 is an official 10"00

In 1984 Polish Marian Woronin ran 10"00 which was in fact a 9"992, I never heard anybody claim that he ran sub 10

That team could be beaten by a team of non white players quite easily. But as a European sport those Guys you posted are considered the only greats.

You're right, race is huge in sports.

There is a reason this team would be impossible to beat:

Maradona

Messi

Cruyff

Beckenabauer

Ronaldo

Puskas

Di Stefano

Platini

Maldini

Charlton

Thereare actually several reasons why that team could be beaten. The main one of which is that they have no goalkeeper. They also have only two defenders, and no defensive midfielders. I suspect a team such as Iceland with no stars, but a solid work ethic and tactical discipline could beat them.

It looks like he added a lot of mass in the span of a few month since the winter indoor season.

What is funny is that people keep telling on how White Sprinters peak later and so on, and this guy is still a collegiate...If it is really the case I wonder what kind of size he's going to reach naturally.

If he is not natural, however, I don't think he' ll have a long career, or it will have a few hiatuses, as it will be very hard to keep doing what he does when going from NCAA to USADA testing.

With that muscular mass, you wonder why he did not run 9"7 yet

there's not a chance teeters is "natural", and if by natural you mean "just" a gram of testosterone a week, then yea, he's natural.

I find it funny how this thread has literally become a debate of whether or not blacks have superior genetics for sprinting compared to other races, and who in their right mind (besides overly politically correct people) would say they don't? It's obvious that west African genetics are suited for speed and that's the reason why most sub 10 sprinters are black. The non black sub ten sprinters are truly exceptions to the rule. And there are plenty of white kids doing sprints in usa, they simply don't have the "sub 10 genetics".
