That is the fastest 100m ever ran by a white American.

and 0.01 from being the 2nd white guy to run under 10 seconds (or has someone done it since Lemaitre?)
The Frenchmen the only white sub10.00.
If the wind is wind +1.5ish we could see the next white sub10.00 tomorrow. In with that competition he could be puled to a 9.98.
No I don't see him doing anything else.
Why isn't this guy playing football?

He's a big boy isn't he?
Yes he is. I'm guessing a 4.3 40.
We'd have t go back to 1964 when Dartmouths Gerry Ashwoth took 4th at those Olympic trials to find a white 100m sprinter on a USA Olympic team. Obviously just a 4x1 relayer. He was a 9.4 yards man.
Hey, he might make the team! They actually gave him 9.995 compared to Mike Rodgers 9.997. Rodgers had +3.8 wind and Coleman and Gay had +2.4, which puts him right there with +1.9, and Gay's start still looks suspect. Also Teeters had a RT of 0.172, so if he can get that down to even .16 or better he can have a sub-10. He's a senior, so this could mean big money for him.
The catch is Teeters is a big powerful guy that hasn't done so well in rounds outdoor in the past.
Teeters was working pretty hard, we can say that about Rodgers or any of the other top 5/7 guys. I can't see Teeters making the team. His bulk not good when it comes to rounds.
But, I do hope you're right, I'd love to see him at least on the 4x1. He is a great 60 guy so on a leadoff leg?
His form was awful, if he can get smoother he can go 9.9 easily.
Thats one powerful guy btw, he has to break 10 to even have a chance.
I totally agree, he was anything but relaxed and smooth. I can see him "tagging along" to a 9.9 but that's about it, do hope I'm wrong and he surprises.

The wind was 1.9. Doubt he goes sub 10, is he going to pass the piss test?
And the only reason I am talking sub10.00 is because of that + wind as I mentioned. He gets a + 1.5ish vs that kind of competition, yep. 9.98 a very real possibilty.
Really tiresd of the PED BS, I go with every one who has ever sprinted was filty dirty. So it's a level playing field anyway. I'd cheat also.
He needs to slim down. He must've put on 30lbs of muscle in the last two years.
In 1972 Mark Lutz warmed up for the 200 meter Olympic Trials wearing a t-shirt "White Dark Horse Sprinter." He took third I believe. Could you imagine that today?
Igy
At least 15 pounds he just doesn't need since he's not a footballer. I bet all his life he's had to..."no no coach, don't like football".
Lutz was a HS phenom in Kansas as a HS kid, but he never made the Olympics final.
Yep, no way anyone could wear a t shirt like that today, we're all so damn uptight anymore.
I ran at Oklahoma State during the time Lutz was running. We had a good white sprinter as well. Dennis Schultz from Pond Creek, Oklahoma ran a 9.2 100 yard if memory serves me well.
Great start and improved finish.....but not real smooth.

Yes, hes carrying too much lard.
He was clearly straining last 10 yards instead of floating. Don't see him making team.
Schultz was a good multi talented guy, he also ran a 45 400m. His 100 yard PR was 9.3.
Thane Baker the best of the 100/200 white sprinters from Kansas/KSU/Okla/OSU. He was a Wildcat.
