That's true. The commentary could be better, but I'll give him a pass because it's very tough to do it alone for 2 hours on a course with no interesting features.

I've always been the biggest Bekele fan, but I just don't see a low 2:03 (or less) happening today. Just a feeling. He could gut out a win but his form and physique just doesn't strike me as capable of that fast as I watch this. We'll see.

Working great in Canada. We usually get screwed for streams posted here, so I am really happy to be watching this.

Bekele moving up to the front now, right behind the pacers.

They''re slowing down. 44:12 at 15k. 14:39 at 5k, then 14:43 for the next 5k and now 14:50 for the next 5k. They're on 2"04:21 pace, just under the CR (2:04:23) but I doubt they'll get a truly fast time.

Elite Wannabe- get on Chrome browser and get the Chrome extension called ZenMate on it. Then use the American proxy server the app provides. Dead easy, and you will get it perfectly, depending on your connection quality.

In Australia I'm watching it live on Fox Sports 3 pay TV. Nice.

Weldon is at his Thursday night poker game. He's got a computer streaming into his headphones but is just listening mainly, not watching. He texted asking for a 10k split. I told hiim it was 2:03:54 and then he said he's predicting a world record.

I don't know if Weldon is drunk (let's hope not as he's playing poker) or just old and forgotten that the world record is 2:02:57 not 2:03:59 like it was 7 years ago.

Think about 7 years ago everyone would be going NUTS right now. We stil should all be pretty pumped. Sub 204 has only been achieved 10 times in history by 7 men.

Wilson Kipsang, Emmanuel Mutai and Dennis Kimetto twice.

Geoffrey Mutai, Moses Mosop, Patrick Makau and Haile G once.

For those of you complaining about the commentary, I have two things to say to you:

1. Count your lucky stars it's not Carrie Tollefson

2. When was the last time you watched a marathon with more informed commentary than this? Sure he's not quite on the level of the two English guys who commentated all the track races for the London Olympics but he's a hell of a lot better then most people Universal Sports hire.

Again, with the caressing of the road...I swear this announcer is seeing how many frisky references he can get away with.

Sorry, but I suspect 'drugs' with most you mentioned.
