This may be true. But we'll never know. Has anyone in modern times set the WR marathon then been in contention for the 10K WR? I just think it would be a huge task to go from marathon training to 10K training when, as far as we can tell, Kimetto is purely a marathon runner.
Even Wanjiru spent time on the track, but I believe it was before becoming a force in the marathon.

EPO stimulates the growth of red blood cells. Taking it doesn't mean you will magically have more in your system three days later.

I think of him similar to Lagat at this point - still awesome and fast but not the top of the world runner he used to be.

they jogged it virtually to the bell, & kemboi was virtually certainly in at worst 12'50 shape if flat-out from gun
however, canova uses his actual 13'01 as his 5k ability at the time & devises 5k/10k ratios off it
13'01 for kemboi at the time was nonsense but canova keeps using it for his own boy !!!???
