I was carefully angled while the barista made my coffee so I could check out the corner that the MCAT girl was in. That's when I brought up the owner's name. I asked a question, "So Micky is the owner of this coffee shop?"

Recall from an earlier post, former bar owner "Micky" suggested to me (at his former bar, now owned by someone else) that if I was looking for a good coffee shop in the area to check out his place.

I did not care about the conversation with the barista. My goal at the time was to appear engaged with the barista to detect what was going on with MCAT girl. I was going on the spot and it struck up conversation. I doubt MCAT girl could hear the conversation but she could see the pretty blonde barista girl smiling and talking to me. That's all that I needed at that moment in time.

The added bonus is when the blonde barista came into the room I was in and washed the table off next to me despite the fact no one sat there the entire afternoon.

Even if the MCAT girl never responds I made the most of my afternoon and had fun.

Re-read the thread but I'll give you some cliff notes really quick:

- Full-time job (what most people do after college)

- Going to a house warming party tonight with friends, bonfire in backyard facing the lake

- Heading into town for a late night "surprise party" at "Micky's old bar" with same group of friends. Bar has a beautiful outdoor deck over looking the lake

- Talked with two very attractive girls this afternoon, one of which I gave my number to

I know that the encounter sounds like it comes from a teenager/young adult but isn't that the fun of it? It feels rejuvenating to be that young again. Think about it.

i second the poster above me… I'm about to be married to a laid-back girl and couldn't be happier

dating is always fun at first but it can get tough once you get to know the person
