As Ryan's coach I will say that he has been facing some adversity in his training, but with my help he will eventually come back strong. Today is Sunday by the way, so you should get your lazy butts off the Internet and head to your nearest local church to praise me all day.

I will add this: I am sympathetic to Hall, but couldn't he just do stunts and fund-raisers like Meb did? Why pretend you're going to race when you could jog for charity, raise awareness of something, etc? What Meb did (if you weren't paying attention, Meb started last ala Kip and dollars were paid for how many he passed. He ran just under 38 minutes.) was fun, a bit self promoting but not in a douchey way, and not the least bit taxing. All upside.
So how far did Ryan Hall make it today, in the Napa to Sonoma race?
Did he get far enough in to figure out that an American wasn't going to win (because pacing the race from 100 meters off isn't as effective as it was three months ago) and retire for the morning?
