Will Mo Farah rebound and run well in 2014?

Twins are all among us. Ed and Jorge Torres. Doesn't Ryan Hall have a brother? I think he's younger. Supposedly. Maybe they're twins too and to disguise it, they kept them apart in school by a couple of grades. You can't trust these twins. The lengths they'll go to take advantage of the system. And the sad part is that one gets all the credit while the other lives in the shadows.

I thought I beat this Mo Farah character in praxctits all the time on morning runs, and I only ran a 4:12 mile in high school. But shooooot, now maybe it was just his brother. Now I'll never know! Thank for alerting me to da troof and knocking me down a few notches, LetsRun. Thanks for nuthinngk! I hate you all for breaking this story. Now I feels like an idiot.

He will never be the same; MAYBE. As Haile G said at the Great North Run, Farah should stick to the track while he can. He will still get a ton of money if he were to run the London Marathon in a few years later. Why rush? Personally, I think he'll be working his slow-twitch muscles too much and eventually not be the same over 1500m and maybe 5k. Like Ritz, I know he hasn't run a crazy fast 10k over the past 3 seasons, but has still run fast. Still, Dathan isn't the same at 5k. Mo will still have a tremendous career nonetheless.

Men's 100m? Usain Bolt? He's 6'5". He's black. From Jamaica. There can't be THAT many black guys who stand 6'5" tall from Jamaica. If he had a twin, somebody would've noticed.

Men's 200m? See above (clearly this is now suspicious, same pattern of one shorter race and one longer race as Mo) - And both records by the same name, by a guy wearing the same color uniform in BOTH races. If it looks like a duck ....

Men's 400m? Michael Johnson. Alias, superman. Why would an athlete have an alias? Are there really TWO Michael Johnson's?

Men's 800m? David Rudisha. Let's just say "Kenyan". The last WR holder in the 800? Also Kenya.

Men's 1500m? El G. In Moroccan english, "Hicham" means "first of two". You decide. From the twinningest era in T&F's history.

Men's 3000m? Daniel Komen. How many freakin Daniel Komen's are there, exactly? This guy is probably one of quadruplets, and doesn't even TRY to hide it. How else could anyone run TWO sub 4 min miles back to back? Notice all those even numbers? As binary as it gets. And he did it how many time? Twice? He's a twinner.

Men's 5000m? Kenenisa Bekele. We already know about one of his brothers. Does he have a twin?

Men's 10 000m? As above. How can the same name hold TWO records? In the same two events as Mo and Fo? I think we Know, Bro. There wasn't even an effective TEST for twins when Kenny ran this. Clearly a twinner.

Men's marathon? Another Kipsang. That name is about as much a giveaway as the Komen character. 'Nother twinner.

Women's

100m and 200m? Flo and Jo. Need I say mo?

400m? I was at the track in Canberra, Aus, when Marita Koch ran this. She's clean. No twin. Watched with both my eyes. And my brother. Not a twin.

800m? Jarmila K. There is simply no way she's a twin. No way. There can not be two people in the history of people who look like Jarmila. Not a twinner. Clean.

1500m? Well, we know two runners in the race both went under the record, so it really doesn't matter if they were twins or not. They both broke the record. Clean.

3000m? There's been some skepticism about this race for a while, perhaps you've seen it online once or twice. But there is no proof of Junxia Wang having had a twin. Under Chinese law, I'd say it's safe to say Junxia Wang does not a have a twin.

5000m? Tirunesh Dibaba. Another one of those Ethiopians with siblings. Always questionable. Likely twinner.

10000m? Junxia Wang. Again. I know you have your doubts. Not a twin. Proof? See here

Marathon? I've never heard Paula mention a twin. She apparently was completely unaware of what Farah was clearly up to in his failed London attempt .... And I think if she was guilty of the same, she'd have sounded guilty or suspicious. Mostly though, she smiles after races, so she clearly isn't a twinner.

We should send contact USATA, and have them file a report to WATA.

that said ... I hope Mo isn't down in the dumps after he and his brother's efforts this past year. Sure, a DNF, and being hosed by thousands of hobby joggers in a big race isn't a good line to have in his resume, but he did beat a couple of teenagers in a race in Moscow, so he has that going for him.

This. This so hard. I saw a documentary on this once; Bruce Wayne had a twin brother and they did magic tricks together, except they didn't tell anyone that the twin existed.

All 3 were born and raised in England. They are all British. It's unlikely that Lenox would have been selected for the British team, so he fought for Canada. That's fair enough.

I was born and raised in England. I can compete for England, Wales, Great Britain or USA and would for any of them if selected but I doubt they would select 52 year-old 62 second 400 meter runner.

My best chance for selection would be for Wales, population 173 people and 1 billion sheep.

Guys, we have stumbled upon something big here. I've always wondered why I can train just as much and just as hard as the elites and never approach their times, but I have no twin. All along, I suspected it might be PED's or thyroid stuff or something more unknown and nefarious. I never suspected they were using twins and clones.

Think about it. Kenenisa was dominant so long by himself. People knew he had a brother Tariku. So they were probably swapping in and out of races for all those sub-27 times KB ran. And when he (they) had been so successful, they knew they needed to cover their tracks so they got clones (but it took a while) so Tariku could race against Kenenisa so no one would suspect anything. Does anyone have any old footage of Bekele racing? We might be able to detect when they swapped in and out of races.

The twin swapping system is now teetering. It's going to come crashing down. Non-twins unite!

It's amazing it's gone on this long without detection. People suspected Kip used his brother, but wow, we never suspected elites would attempt anything like this. But Nike can cover up anything. They're like the NSA.

I didn't realize there was a USATA and WATA. But we need to be careful. They are probably infected with twins as well, or being paid off by twins to be silent. We can't trust anyone.

Ever notice how Nike always gives the same uni's to the elites in a race? The pack of Nike runners are hard to distinguish. It makes twin-swapping all the easier.

So today at my lab, I bumped into an old friend from my doctoral days who was in town for a conference. We had lunch. Good to see him. I brought up the subject about twin swapping and clones, and his face dropped in a flash and he looked deathly concerned. I could tell I had crossed a line I didn't expect, but since we're friends, he leaned in and told me a whole lot more than I ever expected.

Evidently, he had a friend who was a design engineer for a big shoe company but he didn't say which one. (Later, he accidentally slipped and mentioned something about the northwest, so guess who.) Anyway, this friend was friends with a pretty good runner whom he would see around "the plant" quite often. But sometimes when he would stop to chat, it was as if this runner friend didn't know him. He said it was really weird and awkward. But other days, it was like old times. This engineer began to wonder if his runner friend was beginning to suffer from early Alzheimer's or something. Turns out, it was something worse.

He began asking questions. Too many questions. One day this engineer went in to use the cryosauna, and there was "an accident." That's all that was said. His widow asked my friend at the funeral to read some disturbing emails she had found on his computer. And he was shocked by what he read.

Clones. Dozens of them. This shoe company was making clones, and for the insiders who knew about this, the company word was that they were to be used as "shoe testers." But this innocent engineer had uncovered the big plan. They weren't "shoe testers," they were elite clones to be swapped in at certain races.

The company was doing this in a limited way with a few on their shoe contracts to perfect the system before going big time with it. They had already done twin swapping at a few low key races but specifically avoided spectacular results to avoid attention. It was all a concerted effort towards the ultimate clone swap. The first sub-2 marathon.

That's right. Sub-2. The time and place had already been determined, and not where you might expect. Not Berlin, London, Chicago, or even Dubai. Are you ready for this? The Eugene Marathon. They wanted to put Eugene permanently on the map, not just as Tracktown, USA, but as the place that would always be mentioned for time immemorial whenever marathons were mentioned.

And the year? Not this year or next. 2016. The Olympic year. Running is never more in the news than during the Olympiad. Eugene's name would be broadcast to the entire world in the airing of every athletic event in Rio. It would be impossible to cover any running event of any distance and not mention the stunning news of the first sub-2. And the company execs loved the idea that the world's first sub-120 minute marathon would be on the 120th anniversary of the marathon itself.

But this is where things get complicated. This shoe company was having trouble getting two American clones in shape enough to run sub-60 halves. They wouldn't go forward with clones that could run only a few seconds under an hour, they needed them more in the 58 minute range to ensure it would happen and not almost happen. And they wanted American clones.

They finally realized they would have to do something far riskier. They would have to get three clones who could run 4:30 pace for 15K, and they would do two clone swaps instead of just one. Yes, far riskier of getting caught. But they knew it was the only way it would ever work, especially since Eugene isn't pancake flat like typical WR courses.

And you know how there have been a spate of 2:03 marathons lately? That's all been orchestrated to get the media talking about the possibility of the first sub-2. You can expect to see a couple of 2:02 marathons this year and next, but nothing closer to 2:00. They want to get the media worked up, and then their clones will smash the barrier in 2016 into a media frenzy. The entire world will go berzerk over this unlike anything we've ever seen. It will be like Edmund Hillary and Roger Bannister all wrapped up into one event, but this time for America, not the Queen.

And that's where Mo comes in since he's British. He's not the main agent. He's just a decoy. Everyone's enamored with his double golds at the Olympics and world championships. And they're using him as a tester. If something goes wrong with the twin swapping, no one will know about the clones, and they'll also suspect it was a British ploy, not American.

There is a whole lot more I'd like to tell you, but it's late and I need to reconfigure my ISP address to cover my tracks. But now you can start to connect the dots to see what's going on. London 2014 is not the main target. It's all about Eugene 2016.
