Is firm and course fast? It's not short right? Looks like elon is a contender this year after they beat uncg terrible team today. UNCG IS TERRIBLE. Their 3rd- runners are garbage. Kemboi has done well in the past but it looks like he's washed up and whoever uncgs 4 and 5 are Crawford and delles? They are god awful crappy runners. Count uncg out.
Furman men's course was 111 meters short, and women's was 79 meters short. Great footing, spectator friendly with tight loop course, some thought hills on it, and very cool weather.

So add 20 seconds to the men's times, they still put 5 guys under 25 mins and lets remember that 4 of those guys are true freshman who are running the first 8k of their life. Oh and also they ROLLED on Duke! Love how people on this board always find some way to knit pick at teams. How about being happy that someone in the conference is running well and recruiting at a national level!

The Furman course is to be the site of the 2014 USA Championships. That course has been certified. Times are legitimate.

Guys that have been running for four years for other teams just ran 30 seconds faster than they ever had..

I noticed a similar trend. Pretty fast out there.
Even if you add 20 seconds they still had 5 guys under 24:40. Just wait until next year when they have another great recruiting class and Josh Brickell returns after redshirting this season.
UPDATE: Furman is now ranked #5 in the SE Region. After starting the season at #11.
I'm amped about how Furman looked but Duke held out their top 3 guys so I don't know if that is a good comparison.
Duke was down by one guy -- still would've been beaten.
it is NOT resting a guy when they are hurt and cant run. Also it was not their top three guys. If Duke adds a man who wins the race Furman STILL wins!
I am relatively certain Duke held out Domenick Dematteo (13:50) Mike Moverman (14:02) and Shaun Thompson (14:10). They definitely held out the last two, you guys may be right about Dematteo being hurt though I don't think he raced last track season.
How short was UVAs course? And how slow was Oklahoma?
