After every major marathon I search usenet and various torrent places. Usually I find nothing, but in the cases listed earlier, I did find them.
As for quality, they are about the same as the Olympic Marathon video. The 2008 NYC might be a bit worse, but it's still very watchable.
I hear there are screen recording programs out there, and if so, I might get some of the other races I have access to that are currently stream only. I think we all know what site I mean.

I downloaded the 5k but there is no volume, same for the 10k posted earlier. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I created the files in quicktime, however it seems quicktime can't decode the audio. Never fear though, if you are on a Mac, download VLC and use that, and if you're on Windows, installing the "K-Lite Codec Pack" (also know as "Media Player Classic") will do the trick.
JR, are you sure you are clicking the right button? The file still works for me. Click the link and then click the "slower download" button. You then enter some text to prove you are a human and not a Internet crawler.
The sound works fine for me, I play it in vlc and I also have the kodec lite pack. I'm not sure what else to suggest other than getting vlc player.

Yes, I clicked the slower download button, and used an older browser to enter the text. I will try it again.

and yeah, linux def sounds like whats preventing you from downloading these links.
Stupid internet. I went to bed and the file was 80% uploaded. Woke up this morning and my ftp client reported a "server timeout" error. File not uploaded. What a waste of 5 hours!
Can't you resume uploads with an FTP client? I thought that was one of the neat advantages of using it.

At anyrate, I split it up into 200mb rar'd chunks and I'm uploading them now. Probably will be late evening before it's done.
