I dont think Tadesse will do a Steve Jones. He would be doing well to get third behind Wanjiru and Kebede. Nobody is going to WR in London.

Tadesse is an incredible runner. I am a big fan of him. I loved it when he not only beat but DEMORALIZED Bekele in the WXC in Mombasa in 2007.

You can't deny the fact that Tadesse has NEVER FINISHED A MARATHON. The metabolic and energy systems used in the 10k/half are different than the full marathon.

I don't think that he or Wanjiru is going to do it this time. I think that it will either be Kebede or Kirui. We'll see soon enough.

z tadese is good but even geb took time to learn how to run the marathon. for most it takes getting used to.

The marathon is an awesome, humbling thing. The World Marathon Majors should be the ultimate sports event in the world.

People should understand just what the marathon is about and what athletes these people really are.

With Tadesse running a HM WR so close to London, one has to wonder if he really had done proper marathon training.

Ultraman knows nothing looks to be right! Tadesse crashes and painfully rolls in with 2:12, which know one on this thread predicted - we all thought he would be more competitive! Big slice of humble pie for me tonight, who's in?

Oh... actually 2:4x for his first one (when he was in his mid teens).For that 2:06.xx, he drank only water. What a beast.
