This is your logic. You know, I used to like Vasala. I thought he was cool. And you know what happened in 1968; Finnish Federation wasn't keen on sending young Vasala to Mexico City Olympics because he was not good enough. It was Lydiard as Finnish national coach (not just giving a couple of lectures in Finland) who said it would be good for him for the next Olympics. Vasala got eliminated in the first round heat in 68 but went on, as I hope you know, and won the gold in 72. It's pretty much a public knowledge that his training was heavily influenced by Lydiard via his personal coach, which Lydiard publicly gave credit for. With all this, and Vasala outwardly criticezed Lydiard for lying and, from this one stinking TV interview which he may or may not even understood (with English), "his mouth open", I'd say Vasala is a man with NO honor and sincerity and respect. What a jerk! Now I hate Finns and feel disgusted with Vasala. See what you have accomplished? Nice going!

About 20 years I saw an interview where this Kenyan runner had read a book written in Swahili where this other Kenyan runner says that Viren admitted to him that he took steriods. It was written in a book and talked about in a television interview so therefore IT IS THE TRUTH, YOU MUST ACCEPT IT. DO NOT DENY THIS, IT IS THE TRUTH.
It seems to me that you are a jerk, not Vasala. It doesn´t matter how much Vasala´s training was influenced by Lydiard, what matters is that Lydiard wasn´t his coach so Lydiard lied. This is a fact. At least Vasala wasn´t telling in TV that Arthur lied, he just told the truth quietly in his book. You feel disgusted with Vasala and hate Finns? Maybe you should try some medication or therapy, that kind of feelings are not healthy.

It does not matter would Vasala and Viren succeeded without Lydiard, the point is that Lydiard lied. You seem to undirectly claim that Lydiard after all was the coach for our boys? Then you are a liar too. The coach for Lasse Viren was Rolf Haikkola, and Vasala´s coach was Kari Sinkkonen. Viren´s/Haikkola´s training system was very much different than Lydiard´s, by the way.
