just watched him literally push Colton Sands. Are we kidding? that was entirely on purpose and you can't even say he did it out of tiredness. he smiled after doing it. just shows how ridiculous how the sport has become.
Never heard any track athlete, let alone NCAA talk about feedin my family after a race. Laughable. wasn’t sure whether to laugh or eye roll at the Rocky Schtick. It really was unbelievable that the announcers though the whole body check throw was normal.

My guess is nobody wanted to protest this because there wasn’t a title on the line. And let’s be real, I wouldn’t want beef with Langon. But if he tries this again when there is a title on the line, he will be DQ’d. I want to commend him want to provide for his mom and sister, but you can do that without acting like this. I don’t see this being attractive to sponsors, and this desperation to succeed and have monetary success doesn’t sound like he’s thinking long term which could be a recipe for disaster.

I just watched the first minute and a half of his post race interview with JG. That’s all I could stomach. This dude is a serious douche. He sounds like he believes he’s a ufc fighter. Usually these wannabe tough guys hardly ever make it as elite distance runners, as you have to have some level of level headedness, self control, and humility. He has none of those qualities. It’s surprising he’s had the success he’s had, shocking really. He doesn’t add anything to our sport except negativity.
Heavily disagree I love respect but to grow as a sport we need some douches no one watches this sport bc someone sets a wr, cr, or hs record and just walks off the track
I've made the point before that people may not like Langon, but he generates engagement. Compare and contrast Langon with Kitchen. Kitchen boldly took the lead late in the race, he ran a phenomenal time for a true freshman, and he gave an exemplary interview afterward. He was well-spoken, well-mannered, and full of smiles.
Yet who is getting more attention? Langon, by far. There are now 90 posts in this thread while the Kitchen thread currently only has 24. On the LRC YouTube channel, the Langon interview has more than twice as many views as Kitchen's.
People who prefer Kitchen's personality over Langon's aren't showing it with their attention.
My mother is a 70-something Villanova alum, born and raised in the dirty jerz. She's a complete diehard Villanova basketball fan.
Over the years, I've sent her and tweets and posts about Villanova track. Liam's record, Penn Relay wins, etc. I might've gotten a "cool" or something similar back from her.
I sent her a Marco interview and she's hooked. If I tell her he's racing, she asks what time and if there's a stream. And without fail, after the race, she'll ask if I can find a link to his interview.
I'll say this about Marco Langon. My mom freaking loves this kid, and that's good enough for me.
It’s unfortunate that he had to pull the classless move at the end because he ran an impressive race by losing the lead then regaining it and being pushed to the end. Definitely should by DQ’ed.
If there was any contact it was after the finish line. Why would he be dq'd?
He comes across as a douchebag but there was no foul in the race.
I think its hilarious u kids talking about Langon. u wouldnt say this stuff to him at nationals, hes jacked. not only that but he wears the freshest clothes, eats at the chillest restaurants and hangs out with the hottest dudes. yall are pathetic lol
I thought he grew up poor. I thought he was his family’s sole bread winner. I though we have “no idea”
this desperation to succeed and have monetary success doesn’t sound like he’s thinking long term which could be a recipe for disaster.
Yes, and this desperation along with his poor morals and lack of respect for competitors makes him a high risk for seeking out a "quicker" route to success and monetary rewards...
