just watched him literally push Colton Sands. Are we kidding? that was entirely on purpose and you can't even say he did it out of tiredness. he smiled after doing it. just shows how ridiculous how the sport has become.
Lango intentionally ran into lane 2 and body checked Coltan Sands --- Lango cheated and he's a cheater who in my mind is DQed regardless of what the results show ---Sands won that race. Officials need to show integrity and stand up for what is right --- DQ Lango

Somewhere out there, rojo was watching, smiling, and whispering to himself "WHAT A BALLER!!!"

I agree with almost all of this as a Langon fan in general. By that I mean the interview rap is getting old , the line diving is beyond old. And is this case I wouldn’t use the term running out into next lane but is stepping into it and obstruction
He clearly moves from inside of lane two into three
he also literally stuck his arm out not into lane three but close

I just watched the first minute and a half of his post race interview with JG. That’s all I could stomach. This dude is a serious douche. He sounds like he believes he’s a ufc fighter. Usually these wannabe tough guys hardly ever make it as elite distance runners, as you have to have some level of level headedness, self control, and humility. He has none of those qualities. It’s surprising he’s had the success he’s had, shocking really. He doesn’t add anything to our sport except negativity.

he beat a true freshman by 2 seconds and shoved another guy at the line and he acts like he knocked out Mike Tyson. if he doesn't win the NCAA 3K title next month he's gonna need some serious therapy.

He’s got that psycho look in his eyes. For all the jokes over the years…..Langon really is the first elite level runner to actually RUN ON PURE HATE. He seems miserable, paranoid, and selfish. Part of the interview is about how the NCAA is out to get him. There’s an unspoken rule in our sport that you don’t trash your fellow competitors. He does that frequently. He needs a therapist like a diabetic needs insulin. I’m middle aged, and I don’t ever recall seeing a distance guy like Langon in my lifetime. He is an embarrassment to our sport.
Is it bad form to protest by Milt? 100% that’s a DQ. He came across two lanes and it was the only way he could have avoided losing. Really bad look.
The results seem to be final or they have at least been posted… can you file a protest at the collegiate level? I don’t really know anything about the kid, but watched the finish and there was NO reason for him to cut across 2 lanes and throw an arm out there
Just make a rule that unless you're passing a lapped runner if you're in lane 1 and leading on the homestretch that you have to stay in lane 1 through the finish.
Shortest distance is a straight line. To do anything else is to impede.
I am 100% a Marco Langon fan and his interviews are absolute comedy, but he for sure should've been DQed today. That was blatantly a move to try and impede Colton. He threw an arm 5 meters from the finish and then completely cut him off at the line. That would be a DQ in any high stakes meet (conference, regionals, nationals type meet).
I think he is gonna get it done in March though. I guarantee you this kid is gonna leave his entire sack on the line to get it done in the 5k and 3k. He's got some tough competition and it won't be a gimme but I do think he can get it done
Would like to call y’all’s attention to this thread from LoJo 2 years ago. Syed was DQed for a much cleaner looking finish than Marco’s today. Why is there so much hypocrisy with what constitutes a DQ and what doesn’t? In what world is Chelimo and Marco’s finish acceptable and Syed’s is not? In all reality, they all should be DQs. But if we’re going be uniform - we need to set a standard for impeding and not just let these big personalities get away with egregious impede violations.
