Hocker is fine. Nobody with his level of kick can stay with him if it’s fast. Nobody with his endurance and strength except arguably Kerr can drop him before a kick.
He was outkicked at last years US championship and was outstrengthed at Pre. Stop lying.
This.
He has lost 9 in a row, in every conceivable way you can lose a 1500/mile.
How would you rank these guys on never medaling in the 1500m again from most likely to least likely to never medal again ? Hocker, Jakob and Kerr.
Hocker 0%.
Jakob 0%.
Kerr 5%.
Some rage bait I understand, but how do you have that much time on your hands? Some of your arguments are semi-coherent meaning you're probably not stupid enough to actually believe what you are saying.
Are you Rojo/Wejo just farming up engagement while there isn't a whole lot to talk about on letsrun? I don't see why else someone would spend this much time trolling.
And, before I hear a “don’t you read, I said the 1500m” comeback, let me just make the point that Hocker has run well at every distance from 1000m to 3218m recently, and performances at distances in this range are highly correlated.
So losing the 1500m all year doesn’t matter? He improved strength wised but hasn’t been relevant in his main event for about 1.5 years and counting.
That’s correct. For the top track athletes, only one meet last year mattered. And unless the incentive structure of the sport changes, that will continue to be the case.
He didn’t look primed at all to medal if he couldn’t even make it out of the final. It looked like he was primed to knock someone off the track. He didn’t look very easy finishing 3rd in the US trials. Looks are deceiving.
GST and Pre had at least the Olympics podium and often other big names including Kessler, Wanyonyi, Tim Cheruiyot, Hoey etc. USAs had a DL winner (Koech), Oly Bronze and 3:43 man (Nuguse), Oly 5th placer (Kessler), Strand (3:48/7:30 indoors)

Only Pre was stacked. The rest were not stacked. GST had zero athletes in the 1500m final in Tokyo and Nuguse/Wanyonyi were the only two to significantly do anything ater GST. USA's was weak sauce, shown by how poorly the US did at the WC in 1500m. I think only Koech made the final. Nuguse and Kessler were also clearly very far off the shapes they were in at their best, far off actually.

Your post is both false and absurd. Kerr and T. Cheruiyot did GST and made the 1500 final in Tokyo. The guy who finished 5th at USAs won a Diamond League race 2 weeks later.

You’ve yet to make a counterargument. My bad I forgot Tim. Kerr placed last with a calf injury, doesn’t count. Are you even going to try to refute me?
He is cooked currently when he hasn’t won at the event in well over a year. When you become Olympic Champion, there is a certain responsibility/aura you attain. Hocker has lost all that aura and then some. You can’t convince me that in the 1500, he isn’t on the level of Peter Rono. Atleast Centro won some medals before his Olympic Gold? I don’t think Hocker will ever win another medal again based on how he has done. The 5000 is irrelevant on a thread about the 15.

What does that have to do about the topic of this thread?

If only one meet mattered what are they doing for the rest of the year?
