Not to be unfair either, but look at who Bekele beat regularly: Sihine, Kipchoge, Lagat, Geb all pretty close/in their prime. Farah took down…Tanui? Rupp, Gebremeskel, pre-prime Cheptegei, Ndiku, Jeilan. Not really top-echelon guys. He was done by peak Cheptegei and his winning started post-peak Kipchoge, Lagat and Bekele left a huge vacuum. Probably the best guy he got in his prime was Kamworor, who was better at XC(where Farah didn’t compete) and the half (he drubbed him in this).
