How did Joyciline drop Peris?
Better pacer
When are all these MTC athletes realise 8x1k and Nic Bideau only gets you so far? Some of these people need a change in scenery or a reality check..
Massive by TDC the people’s champ and Jess Stenson!
Bester with a fantastic result considering the circumstances, might have been his best race yet. Brutal conditions for the lads today, impossible to run a PB unadjusted.
why brutal conditions?
Terrible heat had people dropping like flies.
Chloé Herbiet is now top 3 of women born in Europe.
top 3:
1. Paula Radcliffe 2:15:25
2. Irina Mikitenko 2:19:19
3. Chloé Herbiet 2:20:38
It was an awesome race to watch.
Lots of mini stories in it.
Firstly, Korir was imperious today. He was slightly cautious. You could see he still had something left in the tank in the end.It was a very important race for him psychologically to move forward and put Chicago behind him.
Jepkosgei has finally fixed her weakness which has always been endurance.
Jepchirchir is a beast. She is tough as nails.Yes she lost today but with a PB after running World champs in August. It is the effort she put in at around 35K to try and break which affected her in the end.But finished a strong second with a PB.
Look out for the Eritrean that finished 3rd today on his debut. He is going to be a force to reckon with in future.
Many national records broken today.
If it was so “hot” and brutal conditions, then why did the first woman Jepkosgei set the 2025 world lead. the conditions were great.

Not for the lads, no.
Emile Caires wasted an opportunity to run very very fast, perhapsrun a PB .Why would such a high profile British athlete pace anyone in Valencia ?The only pacing duty for him that would have made sense was if he was pacing a world record attempt.I think this was a wasted opportunity.
Where is Frank Lara?
